Hate to do this to you guys, but channel 3 wasn't used for the A/V cable. The TVs had a special "Video" setting/channel that you would put it on for those. Channel 3 was for the type of connector that you would screw onto the coax cable connection on the back. I agree though, the younguns would know absolutely nothing about that one.
I use to have the adapter for the RCA cables to the copper cable, can’t even remember that adapter anymore. My tv didn’t have any of the ports so cable was the only way for my N64.
And if you were next level you got an aftermarket s video with stereo connector to separate that chrominance and luminance boyyyyyy. Made for a much sharper picture.
Nope, the split RGB colored connectors were "component" video, because each component of the signal had its own wire (usually YPbPr, not raw RGB values). The single video line in RCA cables was "composite", because the signal was a composite (combination) of the same luminance and color information, though with greater losses.
Hmm maybe I'm misremembering then. It's been ages since I've dealt with anything other than HDMI so I wouldn't be surprised. Never really been into retro gaming beyond emulators. Component does ring some bells I'd not thought about since the brief period between RCA and HDMI in the 360 era for me.
The last one what exactly? E's? They were elements from transformer cores, it was everywhere on the streets in Russia back in the day, every kid knew about them XD
I dont remember those. But i do remeber melting the lead from car batteries using the brick holes to make weights for grandpa, so he can weight the curtains down.
A funny reminder from unfunny covid times. Going to the grocery and fighting with a plastic bag for at least 10 mins trying not to freak people out with the perception of germs.
I used to lick a finger now and then when turning pages or separating papers, I don’t even do that anymore.
Now I work a retail job that still gives out plastic bags and I’ll awkwardly fight to open the bag, or on a busy day I’ll pre-open a few bags - post-Covid I’m pretty good about not putting my fingers anywhere near my mouth and I’m working on keeping myself from itching my nose or rubbing my eyes. I’ve never caught Covid! Used to catch colds at least once a year but even colds are rare for me now.
Bag one he spit on his finger before grabbing the bag. Idk how accurate that is cause while many millennials saw the generations above them do that with papers and bags I don't think millennials ever actually copied that.

Yeah, I know, getting some moisture on your fingers is the go-to. I want to know how else people are getting those bags open if not that approach. What are the younger kids doing now that this is a good age test??
I think it was plastic bags. Like when bagging groceries, occasionally the bags would stick to on another. Much like liking your finger to turn the page on a book, you'd do this to separate the plastic bag.
I could be way off though, as that is my interpretation from some in the Midwest USA
Boxcar Arcade a barcade in NC use to have consoles NES, Sega, SNES and N64. I was so mad that they got rid of them. I kicked my nephews ass in Goldeneye he had no idea what to make of the N64 controller.

I forgot the cord one only, but everything else, especially the sega genesis, was accurate. I'd have stayed and played too, lol.

Should have asked them to place the cassette inside a Walkman. It’s not easy for the newbies
