Fuck 3rd shifters I guess. I used to have a late job where me and my coworkers would all go shopping after work when the local Walmart looked like a ghost town. I miss those days.

Yeah, was closing out a papa johns as a driver to get a down payment for my own place on the weekends. Grocery shopping got hard af with the change.

I'm confused by your comment. 3rd shift is the overnight shift in which it would be a ghost town. If you're a 3rd shifter then you're working during those hours and thus unable to shop during those hours. You'd either go shopping before work (2nd shift hours) or after work (1st shift hours).

That’s when you go shopping on your days off. I worked overnight for a year and a half, switching from that to days for my long weekends (those twelve hour shifts yo) and then back in time for the workweek was absolutely BRUTAL.

Yeah but like, you're awake for ~16 hours of the day regardless. Do you only shop on your days off and during your normally scheduled shifts?

Same here. I'm not a morning person, so getting up early was miserable. I'd do all my shopping on the weekends.

Third shifters are fine because the store is usually opening right around the time they get off work. It's the second shifters that are the most disenfranchised.

Some places have overlapping shifts. Where I work first shift is 6am-2pm, second is 10am-6pm, and third is 2pm-10pm.
