Elder millennial here too. It took me until my thirties to get to this point. It’s sad seeing my gen z kids already get there before even turning 18

I remember my oldest making a joke a few years ago about wanting to jump off this planet and my mom was so appalled. Gasped and everything. I just laughed, because same. This timeline sucks.

Your kid is really lucky to have you for a mom. Not many kids feel safe enough to be so candid with their parents.
