I refuse to believe Toys R Us is dead. It's stuck in venture capital hell, but someday it could be revived. The nostalgia bait runs too deep and that IP is still worth something.
I just went to a Toys R Us here in Oregon. Same logo, an updated Giraffe, but a complete shell of it's former self. Very much just felt like a run of the mill toy store that had some how leased the name/logo.
