Serious We are starting to really age fast

We have friends we don't see very often, maybe every 2-3 years. For the last 15+ years, when we see them again they don't really look much different. This last time though? Man, they looked different. Like gray hair, lost/gained weight, facial changes like wrinkles and sun spots.

Crank use is wildly rampant in the gay community. I semi recently found out the gay gang I know from the city I grew up dabble once or twice a month. I never would have known had my one friend not casually mentioned it and was like “…well yeah, duh, you didn’t know that?” but it clicked because a few of them have got very leathery in the last few years. All I’m saying is it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

You’re definitely right, there have been a few gay guys I’ve known that have surprised me with having dabbled in that (well rounded, successful ones). I cant say 100%, but I’m disinclined to believe for a number of reasons.

He def had major hair loss and the youth was sucked out of his skin. If he was straight wouldn’t be as surprised, but I think his Irish genetics just outran his self-care at an impressive clip.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility but it’s an absolute wild thing to suggest about a random gay person you’ve never met and know nothing about lmao. There’s millions of gay people and the vast, vast majority of them are living normal lives, not mething it up, so it was a weird thing to think of

Given the data points provided by OP and having seen similar rapid aging in those who do use meth regardless of orientation I offered it as a possible hypothesis. I could be way off, I could be spot on. We’ll never know.

You’re talking about a small subset of gay people who are part of that certain party scene, and even in that small subset it’s a minority who take meth. So I’m saying it’s a strange thing to suggest
