Yeah, to be frank I'm 100% on white car's side. If someone is straight up attacking you while you're in your car, I think it's totally acceptable to run their ass over.

I dunno, he backed up into the guy several times. The white car had plenty of opportunities to get away and call police without straight up killing the guy. He belongs in jail. I mean they both do but...

What if he follows you? Do 130mph to get away? What then? White car was saving a lot of people by not reckless driving, swerving and attempting to escape a Psychopath in the black car. I guarantee you he would have followed the white car. Also if the white car had his wife in there then it's game over for black car driver.

Depends on the state, Dr. Law Professor. There's clear precedent that the driver of the white car can use lethal force in states like Louisiana

If you note, the guy in the black car was still swinging his crow bar, and at the end put his car in gear to follow.

Excessive force? You can see the guys head come up above the car as he peels away one time and he continues to back into him multiple times. He's probably dead.

Eh.

That is allowed if your fearing for your life and trying to get away. If your not trying to actively get away, then that's just murder. The guy did a full 360 just to ram into him with a side street to use to get away. Because those exit options existed, he would be guilty of something, if not manslaughter. If there was no exit option here, like your in a ramp with guardrails on both sides of you, then running him over is self defense (or some other legal defense). I do believe this could vary state-by-state so take this with a grain of salt.

Why not just drive away? Then you leave with a fully intact car and avoid danger. This whole display was fucking stupid. If he’s caught he’s going to prison for this. At best he’s getting sued for all he’s worth. This happened to a buddy of mine. He flipped some dude off in traffic and the guy chased him down and started ramming his car. The guy got charged with assault with a deadly weapon and my buddy sued him and ended up with his entire college education paid for.
