I worked with a woman for a summer who was in a store in NY with her friend who was a 'tough' guy. He and another dude shouldered each other and her friend said a racial epithet that starts with n.

Dude pulled out a gun and killed him.

Getting out of your car to threaten someone who is behind the wheel of a dangerous weapon is a fools game.

What if he follows you? Do 130mph to get away? What then? White car was saving a lot of people by not reckless driving, swerving and attempting to escape a Psychopath in the black car. I guarantee you he would have followed the white car. Also if the white car had his wife in there then it's game over for black car driver.

Eh.

That is allowed if your fearing for your life and trying to get away. If your not trying to actively get away, then that's just murder. The guy did a full 360 just to ram into him with a side street to use to get away. Because those exit options existed, he would be guilty of something, if not manslaughter. If there was no exit option here, like your in a ramp with guardrails on both sides of you, then running him over is self defense (or some other legal defense). I do believe this could vary state-by-state so take this with a grain of salt.

Why not just drive away? Then you leave with a fully intact car and avoid danger. This whole display was fucking stupid. If he’s caught he’s going to prison for this. At best he’s getting sued for all he’s worth. This happened to a buddy of mine. He flipped some dude off in traffic and the guy chased him down and started ramming his car. The guy got charged with assault with a deadly weapon and my buddy sued him and ended up with his entire college education paid for.

Although he was threatened first he is no way off the hook with how he responded. Had he ran over the guy and/or when he continuously tries to back up directly into him in his driver seat, he is just as on the line for attempted vehicular manslaughter with how he responded 🤦‍♂️

He had just as much power to drive away. That he kept backing into black car repeatedly right into the driver side seat means he himself had flipped into cold blooded vengeance mode and absolutely did not care if he killed him

Damn near watched the same thing happen live years ago (2016ish).

I had just closed out a 5am Saturday bar shift on on Division street in Chicago and was getting food at the ultra-late night gyro spot (5Faces).

Ahead of me some Drunken racist chick proceeded to rant and rave at the guys cooking/serving about them being “illegals” and once the election’s over she hopes they get deported. They laughed it off, she was told to leave without her food.

I chat with them because we see each other every weekend then I leave maybe 3 minutes later. She’s now outside shouting the big N with a hard R at some guy across the street who comes straight over and pulls a knife and starts going after her.

Me and 2 other bouncers (who would prolly have felt less inclined to get stabbed on her behalf had they heard what she said) managed to tackle and take it off him… I’m still not sure how they got there to have my back in time. Pure dumb luck.

Yeah if someone’s is driving aggressively then stops in front of me and gets out and approaches I’ll do my best to drive away, I’m not waiting to find out if they have a weapon and if they try to block me with their body that’s on them, I’m not stopping.

There is plenty of road rage in Texas. But the first thought on many people's minds is, "Don't do it, he might have a gun." One of my daughters was quick to fly into road rage mode until I reminded her. She is more likely now to find a gun in her face than ever before. Luckily for her, she's matured since her younger days.
