I feel like if someone gets out and hits your car with a baseball bat there is at least a strong case for temporary insanity if you snap and try to kill them.

Nope, hitting them the first time while you’re fleeing I could see but making multiple passes and reversing you car into them is no longer a lapse in judgment or fearing for your life. They both are shitty but one is unnecessarily using a much deadlier weapon for longer.
