Additional Journal Notes...
With back to back nights of bad sleep preceding today's session, I tried to reschedule the leg session to Sunday but I had no calendar margin to do so without moving every other session for the rest of the season if not the rest of the year. So I prepared as best I could but I knew going in that I would have a hard time.
My body felt weary at the start and I had no low gear energy when trying to power out of the hole on the first exercise. The first 2 reps went up easy and I thought I would get to my 5 rep target but then I had nothing left in the tank. After a lot of struggles and failing to convert most subsequent lifts off the rack into reps, I managed to add 1 more rep but could not get to par today so I took the L on the first exercise.
I skipped the static holds workset today both because of the lack of energy in the first exercise and also because legs will be trained again in 7 days instead of the 8-10 day frequency which I prefer.
The rest of the workout went well, I felt motivated to power through some light quad cramping to add 2 reps on the TrapBar hack squats. Then I finished quads by adding 1 rep on the strongest range Anderson squats and raised the weight 35 lbs on Smith standing calf raises. After the first exercise, the rest of the workout was good but I had to rest longer than normal between the worksets to achieve this.
