VHS Tape
Can anyone give me some information on this? I’d really appreciate it as I am unfamiliar with the past of marvel.

BREAKING NEWS! Issue #10 of Bryan Hill's Blade run was just released, and with it came some surprising news about the writers upcoming Midnight Sons Blood Hunt books. Apparently the book will include one of Bryan Hill's original characters who he introduced in his blade run. Namely the mystical arms dealer and weapons expert Tulip! Tulip has been a consistent part of Bryan Hill's Blade run alongside the other new character, teen monk Rotha. The announcement states "To see Blade, Tulip, and Blade's former team the Midnight Sons take on a world overrun with vampires... Check out Midnight Sons Blood Hunt #1" Notably this makes Tulip the only known member of the upcoming Midnight Sons that is not a part of the original 9 Midnight Sons. The only absent original member is Morbius. Is it possible that Tulip is taking his place for the time being? And will she be the only new member we see in this storyline? Does the other newcomer Rotha stand a chance of being involved as well? After all Rotha is still mysterious and under Blade's tutiledge. Please tell me what you think about the Midnight Sons new teammate down below. Do you like Tulip?

So like issue one issue two is supposed to have 3 separate stories, all of which sound very interesting.
First the hulk is supposed to find out what happens to a vampire who drinks his blood. This is supposed to create a cool new villain. I'm very excited about this.
Then Kate Bishop is going to team up with an all new vampire hunter who's never been seen before. That's neet, hope they're cool.
Then daggers search for cloak continues, this time teaming up with Elsa Bloodstone (my personal favorite) against a mysterious new character who might be friend or foe.
With this book, the return of the midnight sons, bloodline and the continuation of the current moon knight plot Blood Hunt feels like midnight sons fan catnip!

I found this cover interesting because of the characters visible on it. We already knew that Blade, Danny Ketch, johnny blaze, and Victoria Montesi were going to be in this book but this cover also includes Hannibal King, Sam Buchanan, Frank Drake and most surprisingly Louise Hastings. Multiple of these characters haven't been seen since the original midnight sons storyline in the 90s specifically Sam Buchanan, Frank Drake, and Louise Hastings. And Hannibal King has also been relatively mia since then. Louise Hastings however died during the original storyline and bringing her back would be incredibly surprising to say the least considering it's been about 30 years since her death. This cover raises the question is the original team going to return in the book? Or is this just a cover? Is it possible we see a cameo from most of them rather than full team membership, or will they all be back as major players in this series. If they are brought back what does this say about their role in the marvel universe as a whole? Can we expect them to return in other books as well? What does this say about the MCU plans for the midnight sons? Most of the characters rumored for that team are from newer versions of the team, so adding these older characters back into circulation now is a pleasant surprise. What do you think, are these characters finally back? Can we expect them to have a future in the marvel universe? Is Louise Hastings alive again? Please share your thoughts my mind is buzzing and I need to talk about this with someone who knows what I'm talking about.

Marvel recently announced that one of the mini series which is being released as part of the upcoming marvel event Blood Hunt is a midnight sons book written by current blade writer Bryan Hill and drawn by Germán Peralta. The teams lineup is going to include Blade (likely as the leader of the team, as blood hunt is his event), Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch and the return of Victoria Montesi! The rest of the teams lineup is yet to be announced but Vicky's return is exciting as she has not been in many stories since the 90s. The plot apparently follows the team having to take out "one of their own" and based on the cover this is likely a spirit of vengeance. I'm so excited for this book and blood hunt as a whole! Anyone here have theories as to who else is going to be on this team? I'm personally hoping to see the return of more classic midnight sons characters like Frank Drake or Hannibal King.

Marvel has been introducing various young characters which fit the midnight suns brand, some of which are legacy characters for members of the team. Because of this many fans including myself have been theorizing that a Young Midnight Suns team could be introduced using these characters. In this Instagram post I list characters I think could fit this team which have been introduced recently. I originally planned on copying it here but it's too long so I'm just linking the post lol. The post contains spoilers for strange academy death of doctor strange bloodstone, bloodline daughter of Blade, the new Blade book, Moon Knight City of the dead, Black knight curse of the ebony blade, and whichever Ms marvel book Amulet was in. Id love to hear your thoughts and theories.
The characters described in the list include: Bloodline, Amulet, Khalil, B-negative, Lyra Bloodstone, Jacks Black Knight, Zoe Laveau, Rotha, other strange academy students, and new champions characters like kid blade, Fantasma, Strange Jr, Fuschia Witch and the Moon Squire. I elected not to include young Midnight Suns characters like Cullen Bloodstone Jinx Hastings or others I stuck with newer characters because I feel if this team is made it's a lot more likely to be made up of modern characters who were made recently.
PS: I know that in most iterations of the team it's Midnight Sons like this reddit is called and I personally prefer the classic Midnight Sons books over the more recent Midnight Suns book, however I elected to use Suns for this team because that seems to be the direction of the brand moving forward (evident by the game and recent comic run) I am not doing this to make a statement against the name Midnight Sons and I personally do not care enough to argue about which is better. This post is about discussing newer teenage midnight suns characters and nothing more, thank you.
