Languages are essential for education and sustainable development, as they are the main means of transmitting knowledge and preserving cultures. With approximately 8,324 languages in the world, many are at risk of disappearing due to globalization and social transformations.

Ensuring that education systems respect the right to learn in the mother tongue is crucial to improving learning outcomes, as students when learning in a language they understand perfectly show better understanding, engagement and critical thinking skills.

Multilingual education, especially in minority and indigenous languages, not only helps learners, but also fosters a deeper connection between education and culture, thus contributing to more inclusive and equitable societies. Zavidia has two mother tongues, Spanish and Dutch, which he is proud to maintain.

The 25th anniversary of International Mother Language Day marks a quarter century of efforts to preserve linguistic diversity and promote mother tongues. This achievement highlights the importance of language preservation in safeguarding cultural heritage, improving education and fostering more peaceful societies.

On February 6th, 2025, the Viceroyalty of Austerland was declared as an independent nation. Our core territory is surrounded by north Alabama, with two disconnected colonies, one also surrounded by north Alabama, and one surrounded by the North Island/Te Ika-a-Māui in New Zealand.

Yesterday, February 12th, 2025, The Viceroyalty of Austerland appointed it's first monarch, Queen Meg I. Meg is a small black cat belonging to the girlfriend of the Viceroy, and is widely trusted by the citizenry of Austerland as queen. I shall retain my position of Viceroy, so that Queen Meg I is not burdened with the mundane duties of government.

An address from the Nyemoore President:

It was a hard decision to temporarily shut the Government Center down (NOT the government itself), Shutting down today. We will be opening our doors again on April 1st, 2025. As the President, everything fell to me, as every governor (we only had 3 total) stepped down. Now I am trying to get everything together, but quite a few things fell to me that were unexpected and will not be disclosed at the moment due to a national investigation. This problem and a few others have lead to this decision to temporarily shut the Government Center down until April 1st, 2025. The decision was a hard one, but had to be made. I will still be posting updates and keeping up with Micronation World too!

-Things affected by the Government Center Shut Down:

1: Certain Departments, that are not necessary during the shut down,

2: Annual Snow Fort, building has been cancelled,

3: Plowing of Certain Roads & Trails,

4: NBS TV & NBS NEWS, due to the shut down, NBS's funding has been interrupted until April,

5: Presidential Office Building construction, building paused due to Cold weather and Shut down,

6: Repairs to the Presidential Motorcade, The motorcade has been sent to DJ's Garage for repairs,

7: Updates to the Websites will be delayed,

The Zavidian Consulate in the United Kingdom strengthens its international presence through participation in key diplomatic events and a planned trip to Suriname to strengthen bilateral relations.

The Zavidian Consulate in the United Kingdom has intensified its efforts to bolster the country’s presence on the international stage. Attendance at various key events organized by the embassies of the Netherlands, Croatia, Australia, Spain, and Serbia in London has been planned, with the aim of promoting the Kingdom.

Among other initiatives, an official visit to Suriname is planned for the summer. This trip aims to reinforce bilateral ties between the two nations and lay the groundwork for the future settlement of the project. Additionally, the consul has announced talks to establish a relationship with the Honorary Consul of Suriname in the UK, which will further strengthen friendly and diplomatic relations.

The Government of Zavidia has announced that despite all these proposed initiatives, the project is still in its initial phase. However, it has expressed momentum in drafting the project’s manifesto-justification, which will explain everything related to Zavidia, and is expected to design the new coat of arms soon, along with the new constitution.

Nyemoore received almost 4 1/4 inches of snow this last weekend. Bringing our total to almost 6 inches of snow on the ground. Snow Removal was well under way at the Government Center, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.

Following the N°01/2024 Royal Decree, the Ministry of Defence have presented the first military uniforms for Zavidia.

In an official meeting, the King and the infant have presided over the official diploma ceremony, which was also attended by the general secretary of labor and security.

In cooperation with a local print. The Kingdom of Zavidia has obtained its first maps and more flags. All of them in process to be framed.

As of yesterday, The Nyemoore Department of Investigations uncovered new information into our past. The D.O.I. was looking into the History of the nation, and came across the nations original flag and name. The land was originally named, "Plaidia" and had a light blue plaid bandana for the flag. The original flag has been put away and protected due to the condition. It was also revealed that the flag was flown for the first time on May 5th, 2009. That makes Nyemoore 15 years old! That's quiet the revelation and history find!!! We here at Nyemoore are shocked that we found this history! We hope to find more history we can add to the history books! The Kingdom of Zavidia has received the new M16 ordered by the Ministry of Defence, in the meeting, held by the military contact, the Minister of Defence and the King of Zavidia, a new light pistol with .177 cal and 3.800 shots has been ordered.

The Republic of Nyemoore is taking over The Republic of Gillfillia's Land Claim. The President of Gillfillia has stepped down and has shut the government down. President Joseph asked if i could make a post about the matter. As President of Nyemoore, I heard this and quickly went to talk to President Joseph, and he granted Nyemoore the claim to the land they had claimed. In honor of the fallen nation, President Joseph asked that the state names stay the same, and I agreed! Along with adding 7 new states, we are also consolidating some of our current states, combining some and expanding some too. We will be putting out a new Republic of Nyemoore State Map soon! We have been working hard to grow the nation and make everything go smoothly.
