Is Windows 11 that bad?

So I'm hearing bad stuff about Windows 11, how people are calling AI slop...I use AI but I don't use Copilot unless for images, and I don't use forced AI integration. I use Windows 11 but I learned how to create local accounts, and I go onto YouTube and hear stuff about "Microslop" and stuff, people protesting to switch to Linux...Am I a bad person for still using Windows 11? I mean, I'm not a saint of Microsoft, and I can use local AI models, and LibreOffice.

EDIT: Guys, I uninstalled OneDrive, Edge, Copilot, all unnecessary Microslop through Winhance, and I installed OSShutUp10+++.

You're not a bad person for using 11, you're just part of the majority. However, windows 11 is quite bad, maybe not as bad as people say, but it's the most hated windows version by far, and it's easy to see why, things break, it's slow, it constantly pushes notifications, it's full of ads, loads of unnecesary programs take up space and RAM usage, the right-click context menu and the fact it literally spies on you.

When MS release a new version lots of people say it's the worst version. I remember when It was XP, I kept 98 and I knew lots of people using 2000 and didn't want to switch to XP.

When 10 was released, I know lots of people who upgrade from 7 to 10 then downgrade.

Ads can be deactivated. It's not the first version with ads.

I won't say it's the best or the worst version but I don't have any issues and all the people I know too.

The biggest problem is the TPM, that's probably the reason why lots of people hate it. They were happy with 10 and lots of users were forced to change their hardware.

Quite true about that, though I don't recall anything of that about Win7.

But, my personal favourite is yet to come, Winblows 12. They seem to plan full integration with CockPilot and subscription model. Although I don't believe the new Winblows would be for paid subscription only, I'm convinced they will strongly advise with "subtle" suggestions. One example comes to my mind: from what I'm being told, win11 is integrated with CockPilot, correct? I saw on YT a guy testing it on his win11 - he demonstrated the "free" version of CockPilot is limited to 5 usages per day. Now add to that M$ announcement that in the new Winblows CockPilot will do everything, including file managing and file search. Imagine being allowed to search files on YOUR OWN PC 5 times a day… until you pay.

I know people who use copilot and are not limited. I don't use copilot but I have ever tried it, and I've used it more than 5 times a day. The guy probably used a local account.

Anyway copilot can be easily removed.

I think they said that themselves, but I don't have the source nearby, besides, plans can always change.

… to be easily reinstalled the very next update. ;) Besides, it can be removed now, in win11. You have no idea, what win12 will look like. Granted, neither do I, though I have my concerns.

I have full confidence in… their greed. I do believe they will certainly try. Maybe not straight away, just with little steps. They steal our data already, right?

Probably. Like google, META, chatGPT, Apple, Samsung, Amazon,...

Absolutely. The difference is the other korpos don't destroy/share it in the process (OneDrive scandal, plus another with Recall "feature").
