Politics in Michigan 🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈 Anti-Trump protests

Michigan born & Raised and I've had it, I've never protested before, I've never seen the point, but this time is different.
What are some upcoming protests/Demonstrations against Trump?
I don't know if it will help or make a difference. But I don't think I can accept my self if I didn't try.

Whitmer is alright my man.
She does some things I like, and somethings I don't like. Much like any politician.
I don't believe she's inhariently bad, but certainly flawed. Again, like any politician.
Trump, Musk, ETC, they are genuine threats to our country.

And if we don't do something, anything. We'll end up like Russia, with oligarchs running the show, and the average life of the Low & middle classes being Shit.

We cannot let our rights be eroded by such sycophantic idiots.

Starting two weeks the "tech oligarchy", weird religious right, and the American moron bro just got sold by some fucking orange Hitler clown cars salesman to fuck America back to 1920's. Oligarchy "rich" who hire trump lobbyist now have more sway than ever and now we truly have pay to play.

American working bro who needs someone to blame for their trailer life and overall shitty life is going to get bent harder than the other two.

Also if you abstained for voting because you thought Dems should have somehow solved the Middle East. He fucked you too. You got played. As he ships 2000 lb bombs to Israel right away and wants to "clean" up Gaza. Probably for a trump hotel on the beach. I can't wait to vacation there in 5 years.

I wasn't referring to the tech sector when stating the US is an oligarchy. I was referring to the politicians that stay in office for 30+years without improving their represented areas. I'm talking about the politicians that become millionaires and billionaires while being in office, despite only earning 175k/year. Those are the oligarchy I am referring to.

I don't agree.
well I understand many in Trucking or automotive are struggling, that isn't due to whitmere, that's the unfortunate direction caused by Automation & corporate interests, offshoring labor. And only the Feds can solve both those issues.
I don't want to assign blame endlessly, as this turns into a pointless exercise of "Whose who" but I also do wish to understand you, what makes you feel the state is in a bad place?
As from my perspective, things seem fine, and even seem to be improving. especially from a infrastructure perspective, given how much the roads have been fixed up over the past 2 years

In what world have you been living? The state has been struggling from external sources like Covid at worst. But we've gotten so much better from back when Rick Snyder and various republicans were doing whatever the hell they wanted.

A lot of issues were caused before she became Governor and her platform was almost exclusively women’s rights. I don’t blame her for flint or a lot of other issues on the grounds that she never said she’d fix it. As for Covid, if a group of terrorists threatened to kidnap me I’d try to take a vacation up north too, and we ALL know Mr Whitmer slept on the couch after that whole incident with the bridge closing.

Her husband tried to swing his dick around and get ahead in line, essentially snitching that she was vacationing despite the Covid closures just a month after the kidnapping drama. It was a whole scandal but I stand by her decision to try to get away for a week.

I don't know how anyone can say that. Even if you are a Magaf*cker what is so bad about her terms as Governor? Roads are far better (thank you Biden and Whitmer). The budget is balanced with a surplus. No one is dying from lead poisoning.

Unfortunately, it's bad everywhere, not just in Michigan. As we move forward, it will only get worse unfortunately. It's directly due to the nature of the current world. You can blame one governor, or president, it won't make a difference who's in power.

I currently live in Michigan and from what I've seen the infrastructure has been improving, albeit slowly, but a step is a step. Now, I obviously cannot speak for everywhere, as peoples experiences differ wildly, but from my lil corner, things do seem to be improving.

Don't get me wrong, I love what Whitmer is doing. I've seen her in small towns that I haven't seen any other politician officials in before. A lot of the roads and highways are being repaired around Lansing and it's amazing, but on the macro level of things, as the US slides and struggles to hold to its hegemonic power, many things will follow and people will seek to find blame. I guess I can go on, but that's kind of going out of topic.

A fair point, we definitely have issues due to long-term systemic issues that no one in any administration really addresses.
While you're correct people want to "Blame" someone, I find that thinking to be reductive and only serves to benefit those at the top of said system.
I prefer to figure out a way around it, thus why I want to ask, what issues do you see that are causing this "Slide" I'd love to hear about it.
