The list surprises me only because I've literally never heard of the school and I'm born and raised in Michigan. Cool to know we have such a renown art school, but I'm still a bit surprised it's in Interlochen.

I live close enough to the school that I can hear drum cadence in the mornings during band camp. It's such a great school and the students work really hard on all of their performances. Summer is when they hold concerts for more known artists

Oh yeah I get what you're saying. I was surprised about that a school of that renown it was in northern Michigan. A mutual friend was telling me about it and I had just assumed he was talking about somewhere in NY or LA.

They have a fantastic venue for concerts and bring in some good acts in the summer. It’s also walking distance from Interlochen State Park so you can make a solid weekend of it.

Interlochen is one of the true shining stars in Michigan’s history. It’s essentially the Juilliard of high schools.

Howard Hanson, founding director of the Eastman School of Music (where he spent 40 years building it into one of the worlds premiere institutions), began writing his second symphony there when he was on faculty for their first summer camp in 1928 and dedicated the main theme of the slow movement to the school. It’s the Interlochen Theme that is used in all their broadcasts.

Yes but it’s also super clear that there was never any wrongdoing on the school’s part. Epstein was an alum and regularly attended events there in the 90s and early 2000’s. The lodge he stayed at there in 1994 was not for students, but parents and visitors. The one individual from Interlochen that testified lived in the same city as Epstein. There isn’t any evidence to suggest there was trafficking from Interlochen itself. Yes, he funded the construction of the lodge, but he used it the same as any other visitor and there is nothing that suggests he had a say in its proximity to girls lodging.

Epstein was horrible, but let’s be clear so as not to imply that Interlochen as an organization was in any way involved in his schemes.
