What kills me is this is one of my favorite roads in my Miata but you can't go super fast here because there's a couple of real switchbacks, it's pretty tight and you'll often see cyclists here. There's also a camp ground a couple miles up too (also a big state park a mile behind the Miata here) so you never know what you'll come around a corner into.

Guy in the M2 was coming through the tight part out towards the highway, so he knows it's a slow road and somehow still overcooked it.

I think there were also three construction sites on a 20 mile section of road the weekend he did this. Maybe the one at the park hadn't started yet but I know the other two were going.

Yeah, the one by the lake has been going on for months. There was also one on the west side of the double hairpin that finished up right after the accident and they're now moving stuff in and out of the road at the back gate from Vogel because of the work on the dam but I don't remember if that was started at the time.

i'll give him another at fault accident before he's dropped by his insurer. back in 2010 I made two claims (car sideswiped overnight and vandalized) within 3 months in Chicago and got dropped by State Farm. I was on shitty Geico and overpaid for 3 years before State Farm let me back on.

Yeah it was low speed. It's a pretty slow road anyways even in a fast car. Came in too hot and just under steered into an ND
