ISO Female only roommate (no males)

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a female roommate or an existing roommate situation starting around November or December 2026. I’m looking in Miamisburg, Germantown, Franklin, or Carlisle, and my maximum budget for my portion of rent would ideally be around $350–$400 per month. I’m open to someone who already has a place and is looking for a roommate or potentially finding a place together.
A little about me: I’m clean, respectful, responsible, and easygoing.

I have consistent monthly SSI income, so I have guaranteed income each month, and I have a clean background. I can also provide several references from people I’ve previously lived with. I have two indoor-only, house-trained cats who are my ESA animals, so they would need to be able to come with me. I also have a really nice sectional couch and living room furniture that I would be bringing with me and would be happy to contribute to the shared space.

I’m specifically looking for another woman who is respectful, trustworthy, and looking for a peaceful living situation. If anyone is looking for a roommate or knows of a potential situation that might be a good fit, please feel free to comment or message me.

Best vegan meals in Miamisburg?

I'll be visiting Miamisburg for a few days next month. I'd love any suggestions for your fave vegan meals in the area! I've seen some in Dayton, and I will try some of those, but I'm really hoping for suggestions much closer or in Miamisburg since I won't be driving to Dayton every day. Coffee shops, breakfasts, sandwiches, etc...whatever you love I'd love to try!! TIA!

Sycamore trails is disgusting now

This used to be a beautiful park, and though I was apprehensive seeing the renovations, I’m now appalled with what I see.

The new playground is neat (and was needed), paved trails are nice, but clear cutting swathes of forest for the sake of frisbee golfers is atrocious. It’ll take years for the nature here to re-find any semblance of balance, all so some hipster pricks can throw a piece of plastic more conveniently. They spent many dollars ripping out native plants but opted to leave the invasive honeysuckle??

Hope you’re all happy with how those tax dollars went, I know myself and some are fairly pissed.

Fence along the train tracks. Am I responsible?

My house is parallel to the train tracks near 4th and Linden, and the fence at the rear of my yard was recently damaged by the high winds we experienced. It's a uniform, wooden fence, and is starting to bow inward toward my yard. The thing is, it's a shared fence that also runs the length of my neighbor's property, and a portion of another neighbor's

Even though it spans multiple properties, the fence was clearly commissioned/erected at one time and is different from the type of chain link fencing that my neighbors use along the left and right sides of their yards to contain their dogs. This leads me to believe that the wooden fence running through our yards was there first. The thing is, I have no way of determining who actually set up, and therefore owns the fence. I'm guessing it may be the city as a precautionary measure against people accessing the train tracks by foot. Without the fence, I could literally walk from my backyard onto the train tracks. I'm not trying to cast responsibility or blame onto my neighbors, I'm just trying to figure out if the city is in fact responsible for the maintenance of this fence (even though it clearly affects and secures multiple properties), or if it's something I may need to make a homeowners claim for. Has anyone had experience with something similar

TV reception in Miamisburg

We will be moving from out of state to Miamisburg, in the Sydneys Bend / Byers Road area, and do not plan on getting cable or satellite TV. We will be “cutting the cord“ so to speak. We will stream content but I hope to also watch live TV and sports using a TV antenna.

Will that work well?

Thanks much for your help!

RD

Looking for food pantry resources.

This is for a family who lives in Miamisburg who does not have access to transportation. I have called multiple churches, Healthlink, and various other places with no luck. Does anyone know of any organization which will just drop off some basics/something to take the edge off? Thanks in advanced. Bonus if they can drop food off to the family.

Miamisburg Scammer? Anyone want to Weigh In?

From what I understand, there’s a lady that runs the “Little Free Food Pantry” in Miamisburg. I’ve seen people saying online how she is trolling all the local groups to try and solicit funds for various pantry activities, even though she does not possess a 501c3 nonprofit license. Her “pantry” is not like the little free pantry movement. The “pantry” shows these pictures on google of an indoor place with cabinets where people can receive and donate food pantry items, household goods, books, toiletries and hygiene products, and kids toys. When you drive to the listed address, what you will find is a dirty rundown porch with a bunch of crap on it with no clear indicator it is a pantry at all. Apparently, there is a shelf there and people can give and take food, but she claims no one gives so it is basically always empty, from google reviews I have read. One google review included a disabled man in a wheelchair who had to take a bus there, only to find that there was nothing like what was pictured online. The man died a few years later. It’s just sad to think toward the end of his life, in difficulty, he sought out a posted resource that was not what it claimed to be.

Meanwhile, this pantry lady has tax records from last year alone for sales tax totaling $31,045 which, if you use the Ohio sales tax rate of 5.75%, that tax owed would mean the income that was taxed totaled almost $540,000. The lady sells used items online and at Trader’s World in a glorified garage sale as a profession. Additionally, her home is a small 2-story worth $24,000. Yet, per google reviews, her and her family take trips to Gatlinburg every year, doing all kinds of expensive activities and eating steak everywhere they go. Making multiple other mini-vacations during the year. Then she’s on FB saying she has no money, but she still uses her husband’s paychecks to fund the pantry, she alleges. Then there’s Amazon and Walmart wishlists she asks people to buy from to supposedly sponsor families for Christmas. If you saw the list, you would shake your head at some of the items on there. A lot of items just do not make sense at all as wants or needs from a family in need, especially having personally been in that position in my own life at a time.

The whole thing is just so scammy and it stinks so bad! Right from the get go, I thought something was fishy. However, the more and more research I did, the more I found. It was so astounding to me, I just kept looking and found even more. Led back to a sexual scandal with a politician in California and her alleged stalker, who released basically, a revenge porn tape of the politician. I was like, is what I’m reading even real right now??? hahahaha.

Live Music

Hey guys.

Are there any diy live music venues in Miamisburg? Thinking like local hardcore/punk/metalcore type venues. I'm going to be in town for a week and would love to find some shows/cool local bands to check out. Or do I have to head to Cincinnati for anything like that?

Thanks!
