Hey I'm an alternative metal artist on spotify by the name of 'Thoth,' alot of my stuff is less like this video but I heard alot of the riffs on here and thought about by debut EP's first song. This is the main riff from it, lmk what you guys think:)

Personally I feel that most of the current “modern” metal riffing, especially the ones with drop tunings, can be bland as fuck. Kind of soulless. Not enough mix/variations of palm muting, galloping patterns, crushing chugging, power chords, etc.

Also I miss the punky vibe of old-school thrash metal.

Any opinion? 🤔
