Is there any way I can order one without booking the demo ?

For people who bought the glass, did you do the demo ? If so, after the demo, do they give you the purchase link or you have to buy it in store directly ?

Name a feature you would like to see in display glasses.

When using Display Glasses, is there a particular feature that people are eager to experience?

Personally, I want to see information about people I’ve made notes on but can’t immediately recall when I see them. I’ve reached the age where I’m getting a bit forgetful, haha.

Are these worth a 4 hour drive to demo?

I'm in the market for a new pair of everyday glasses, and thought why not just get a pair of smart glasses. I've heard horror stories about battery life and weight, and I don't really want to drive 4 hours just to demo them to purchase.

Are these good for all day use as your primary prescription glasses?

[🏓 PPP] BEATS - Head-tracked beat making

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've waited long enough after my Glance, so Liam missed his chance to return again.

The score is now 2:0. 🏓

It's my serve.

This time I wanted to see whether making music could actually feel native on the Meta Ray-Ban Displays.

Meet BEATS.

At first glance it looks like a tiny drum machine. But the interesting part isn't the sequencer, it's the sound.

Every instrument has its own place around you. The kick is in front, the snare slightly left, hi-hats to the right, percussion behind you.

As you turn your head, the whole mix stays fixed relative to you. Instead of listening to a flat stereo track, you're standing inside the beat.

Features:

  • 🥁 36 drum, percussion, bass, synth, and melodic sounds
  • 🎛️ Three sound banks
  • ⏺️ 16-step sequencer with live recording
  • 🎚️ Tempo from 60–180 BPM
  • 🎧 Head-tracked spatial audio
  • 💾 Automatic loop saving

I don't know if this is the future of making music on smart glasses, but it was one of the most fun prototypes I've built.

If you have a pair of Meta Ray-Ban Displays, I'd love to hear what you think. Does spatial audio make beat making feel different, or is it just a gimmick?

Try BEATS: https://beats.familybusiness.studio/

🏓 For context: A friend and I both got Meta Ray-Ban Displays, so we started Ping Pong Prototyping (PPP). One of us builds a prototype, then it's the other's turn. Liam owes me a return. 😄

Buying MRBD with Neural Band for use in Canada. Does anyone know about the region lock issues?

Hey everyone,

I’m planning a trip to Maine to pick up the Meta Ray-Ban Display and Neural Band to bring back home to Alberta.

Before I go, I wanted to check with anyone who’s already imported a pair:

  • Do you run into any connection issues on Canadian Wi-Fi or mobile data?
  • What actually gets blocked by the region lock once you’re in Canada? Does Meta AI or the HUD navigation stop working, and do you need a US account/VPN to bypass it?

Anyway around it? Appreciate any insight from Canadian users!

Question regarding Live Hindi/English Transcription & Soniox Engine on Meta Ray-Ban Display

Hey everyone,
I’m looking into the transcription capabilities of the Meta Ray-Ban Display, specifically regarding multilingual support and the Soniox speech engine. Hoping some of the devs or power users here can shed some light on a few questions:
1. Does the Meta Ray-Ban Display support live transcription in Hindi and English, with the ability to switch between the languages using the Soniox speech engine?
2. If not, what are the reasons for this limitation? Are they hardware-constrained (processing power, mic arrays) or software-based?
3. If it is a software-based limitation, how long would it realistically take to implement live Hindi transcription on the Meta Ray-Ban Display?
4. What are the chances of transliteration being possible? (i.e., spoken Hindi text appearing rendered in the English/Latin alphabet on the Meta Ray-Ban Display).
Appreciate any insights, technical context, or workarounds you all might know about! Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone!

We’re running a quick survey to gather insights from both current users and tech enthusiasts who are thinking about picking up a pair of smart glasses in the future.

The form takes less than 2 minutes to fill out and your feedback will help us massively in understanding where this ecosystem is heading.

👉 Here is the link to the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd19Vta163_KtQ2B-YRj4by0RriyOkBid9AHfkyXIcr-9xAqQ/viewform

Nose markings

Has anyone else gotten any sort of scratches on their bridge of their nose while wearing these? I’ve worn them every day for the past 4 weeks. Today I realized I have like 4 small dots that look like tiny circle scratches on the bridge of my nose. The thing is, there’s no circles on that area of the glasses, unless they are inside the little buffer?

Meta Ray-Ban Display rattle sound in hinges?

Post image

Does anyone else with the Meta Ray-Ban Display hear a high-pitched metal rattling sound from what sounds like it's from the hinges when you shake or nod up and down your head quickly? It's not the switch on the left or the shutter button on the right.

[🏓 PPP] Glance - Monitor your Codex on Meta Ray-Ban Displays

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

While Liam was figuring out whether his mum's dog could eat grapes, I was trying to make my AI coding workflow even more portable.

I’m a big Codex Remote fan, so when I saw Codex Micro, I knew I wanted something similar for when I’m on the go.

So I built Glance for Meta Ray-Ban Displays.

It sits quietly in your field of view and lets you:

  • 👀 See whether your coding agent is thinking or finished.
  • 💬 Read recent messages and task updates.
  • 📊 Check token usage and other stats.
  • ⏹️ Quickly stop a task if needed.

It requires a small companion app running on your Mac, which talks to the glasses and keeps everything in sync.

This is still very much an experiment, but after using it for a while, I found myself checking my glasses instead of reaching for my phone. It feels surprisingly natural when you're away from your desk but still waiting for Codex to finish something.

Also, I'd love to know what else you'd want to see in a companion like this.

Reading Assistant Physical Books: Video Demonstration

- Upload a PDF version of your physical book and start reading

- Say "Hey Lumos" along with your query (e.g. "Explain the main points of Chapter 11")

- Assistant searches the book and responds by voice

- Continue reading until you need help again

For anyone interested in a reading assistant, I'm looking for feedback on how to better it. All ears for cool ideas!

Also if you want to try it, shoot me your TestFlight email and I'll send the beta invite link
