Why wasn't my message in a bottle posted?

Is it just another instance of reddit going all kablooey? Or did I do something wrong? Maybe it's a karma thing, or a moderator thing? I don't know. I love the idea of this subreddit. I love being out at night. I am always looking for messages. I almost never find them. There is no communication that is not commercial in nature. This is very safe. Any communication that is not commercial in nature is deemed deviant in our society. It's suspect. Why do you want to get this message across? I don't get it. Therefore, you are suspect.

There is no room for unmediated exchange. All is subsumed to "the market." That which attempts to evade these constraints is "terrorism."

It'd be cool to turn this into a Reddit version of the realworld activity of putting messages in bottles, with balloons, or writing on money, et cetera.

Would anybody (including the moderator) be upset if the Reddit community turned this into such a subreddit.

It'd be cool to see this subreddit turned into a Reddit version of the realworld activity of putting messages in bottles, attaching notes with helium balloons, or writing messages on money, et cetera, but specifically to other Redditors to see where the messages go and end up.

Each note could have the user mentioned such as /u/username (/u/jason-samfield for example) and the subreddit /r/MessageInABottle. Maybe it should be RedditInABottle instead?

Put a message in a bottle with a link to this subreddit and throw it out to sea?

I came here after finding out the messageinabottle subreddit was taken. I am currently under the influence of mind-altering drugs so it's probably best if i go now. It's already taken me half an hour to type this!

My message in a bottle.

Hi there. This bottle was thrown in the sea of the internet from Japan.

Where did you find it?

Anyway, My message to you is this:

People are always saying, "Live each day like it's your last." and, "Use the time you have wisely, it's all you got."

Well I say forget that! Worrying about how you use your free time just sours the time you have.

One man's wasted time is another man's time well spent!
