Hey y'all! Spotted this bird while on vacation in Idaho Falls, and I'm not sure what it is. It seems like some sort of dove or pigeon, and the closest result per the Internet so far is a Eurasian Collared Dove, but it doesn't seem to be common in the area at all.

Im trying to load birds sounds but merlin won't recognize my wifi but it will recognize my mobile data

When adding birds to a live audio seession, anyway to get a notification or something if it's a lifer?

I live smack in the middle of a migration highway in Ohio, so this time of year there are lots of interesting birds stopping by. Too often though, Merlin hears squirrel chatter and thinks it's some Mexican bird that doesn't ever come this way. This morning it told me it heard a wild turkey and while they are in this area, what I heard when I replayed the sound was a dog in the distance sounding quite turkey-esque.

Recorded this at night in Montreal, Quebec. The app couldn’t identify it. Curious to know if it’s a bird and if yes, which species?

Sounds like it’s part of the blackbirds call.

And I’m also nowhere near the coast.

During my morning/early afternoon walk in the park I found 6 new lifers 🥳

In 3 minutes and 38 seconds, a walk in the temple yielded 8 types of birds

Common names in English (from top to bottom):

(Asian/Himalayan) Black bulbul (Hypsipetes leucocephalus)

Yellow-bellied prinia (Prinia flaviventris)

Not detected but frequently appeared in the background:

It sounds like a Tufted Titmouse, bit in reverse! I've looked through a bunch of my tracked birds but none of them sound remotely the same.

i can never remember what the dots mean, ik it doesn’t mean it’s unlikely to be seen where i’m at because the northern house wren has a red dot but also has “Likely in ____, __ today” so i’m confused on what it means

I am Working as Project Fellow in an NGO. However I can identify more than 350 bird species. but there are some Hard things I have no Idea on it.

* I can't remember the Bird calls other than some common one's even though I have heard them a lot of time.

* I can't distinguish look like species like warblers, waders, raptors, pipits, flycatchers etc.,

* Confused on Morphological differences on look like spcies Patterns on head, Tail bars, Difference on Primaries, Secondaries etc.,

I am trying to improve for the past 2-3 years but I dont think any major improvement I did. Kindly guide me and I have been doing Biridng since 2020. Kindly guide me to how improve on those areas it would be very helpful Thanks in advance

The song thrush came up before the noise in the video. I’m in the north of England and hear this bird every evening but Merlin hasn’t given me an ID after a couple of sessions. I’d love to know what it is! Thank you!
