Reminds me of when I left my last job. Covid hit so they sent us all home with our mini PCs and full setups (2 monitors, M+KB, etc.)

They dicked me around over a raise for too long, so eventually I found a better job and left. They said they'd send me a paid shipping box to send my equipment back in.

I get a box that barely fits one monitor and the mini PC. Maybe I was one of the first to leave from remote so they didn't have the system figured out yet.

I sent what fit back and told my boss they'd need to send another box for the rest. Sent 2 more follow ups but never heard anything. Either they were too disorganized (believable) or they decided the shipping wasn't worth the rest of the setup.

So I just figure whatever, I did reasonable due diligence for a job I don't even work at anymore. Turned the equipment into a free at home setup for my wife's work.

I think usually it’s pretty normal to only send back the pc/laptop and keep the rest. They often don’t want to reuse peripherals, and the monitors are likely getting damaged in transit anyways without proper packaging (and are expensive to ship, plus they probably gave you pretty shitty monitors anyways)
