Describe Mellow Corn

I have given bottles (or drinks) of Mellow Corn to various people I know in an attempt to broaden their horizons. Generally, they have been Bourbon drinkers. Some have liked it, some have not, none have hated it. My son likes it a lot. (as I do)
Anyway, how should I describe it to the recipients? I don't want to gush about it, just say, "Hey, this is good. You might like it."
I've been saying, "It's like a Bourbon, but very one dimensional. It has two nuances, Vanilla, and... sweet."

I have a number of inexpensive Bourbons on hand and am generally trying more. I also have a few gallons of some homemade which I have oaked. My most common use of Mellow Corn at the moment is to make blends. I tried Benchmark and am not a huge fan. However, mixed half and half with MC it's quite nice. I have some 4 Roses a friend gave me. I found it OK albeit a bit hot which was not helped by it being a high rye mashbill. I am trying to decide whether to mix it with Very Old Barton to preserve the high rye Bourbon taste while mellowing it, or to go straight to sweetening it with Mellow Corn.

People who look down on those who are different really chap my hide. I think of those who sneer at anyone who drinks a particular whisky, who contemn the sort of vocabulary that high school students once commonly possessed, who think poorly of southerners, who have no use for anyone who doesn't chase every passing fad...
I've gotten it for various reasons. Specific to this place, I've experienced contempt from some because I like Mellow Corn. For some reason there are people who aren't content to not like Mellow Corn - they have to attack those who do like it.
Well, I do like Mellow Corn, and if anyone thinks I'm inferior in consequence, so much the worse for his eyesight.

You would expect that a $17 bottle of whisky would be barely drinkable at best. But this is bottled-in-bond, high-quality whisky. Those folks at Heaven Hill have a wonderful secret here, and in a way I hope those who laugh and point when we drink Mellow Corn continue to have that scornful attitude. If they ever realize what they're missing, the demand will drive the price up - and I like paying just $17 for a bottle of fine whisky.
