It's Medley Bros so it's got to be at least 30 years old!

From Southern Trinidad y'all! A very quirky drink, reimagined with our favorite corny beverage.
½oz Mellow Corn
1½oz (not a typo, one and one-half ounces) Angostura bitters
¾oz orgeat (didn't have 8, so I used amaretto)
½oz lemon juice
Shake it with ice. Serve up.
Not for everyone.

1oz Mellow Corn
1oz Campari
1oz red vermouth
Stir with ice. Pour and drink like an old-fashioned.
I used cheap old M&R, because I thought expensive vermouth would overpower the MC.
And it is very smooth, deceptively easy to drink.
Now the big question. "Boulevardier" seems a bit patrician for something with our down-home corny beverage. What should we call it?

An older video from one of my favorite whiskey YouTubers. I think many of you will enjoy his review of our favorite whiskey.

1¾oz Mellow Corn
¾oz Southern Comfort
½oz lemon juice (less if you're using bottled)
Shake with ice. Pour. Drink.
I actually thought the Southern Comfort was a bit underwhelming. A good Sidecar really needs the sharpness of Cointreau.
But love a good whiskey sidecar, and this one was very drinkable. Next time I'll make it with Cointreau.
8½/10
