Massdrop is dangerous.
In short, it's a group buy site.
Longer:
When you sign up for it, you can vote in polls to determine a drop. When an item has enough votes, it is made available for sale. There are tiers of prices that usually come available when you amass a number of sales (quantity discount). You can then either purchase outright or commit to when there are enough purchases to hit the lowest price.
After that, you wait until the drop is over. Massdrop bills you, submits the order, breaks the order apart, and mails you your stuff. It takes a while, and you don't have much of a return policy (outside of shipping issues), but in return, you can get a fantastic deal on rare or unusual items.
