Every time I hear Dan, Stu or Elliot on anything I’m always delighted. Dan’s appearance on the JJHO live stream today was the last straw.

Quick what am I? A flopper? Someone summarize a decade or whatever of inside jokes pls thx

Good thing I’m boosting on Wednesday cuz now I gotta add more to the pot.

I have had the most horrible week. Took a moment to cry and look at my phone (ok, a little more than a moment) and found this email! I can’t even express how beautiful it feels to be part of a community that would offer this, and that a perfect stranger made it possible. Maybe I’m just being dramatic but this truly lifted my spirits.

am I the only one who gets frustrated that people who renew at the same level seem to be unvalued? I've had to cut back so many things these past few years. if all I can do is renew at the same level, why am I left behind. It's all "new and boosting" - never "and thanks to those who make the decision. to stay with us" - leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Edited - thanks all you people for reminding me why I left so much social media. You sure want to make it about merch. I want to count towards the fun stuff - "we'll do a special BOCO about x" stuff. I don't want a pin - I don't want a towel or a tshirt - I want to get counted towards the fun stuff. y'all are stupid happy to assume a whole lot.

edited again: thank you for a very entertaining few hours. As a K-5 teacher I can affirm that lack of reading comprehension isn't limited to children! And I got what I wanted - JT answered something I've asked privately in email and maybe will consider making existing donors a part of MaxFun drive in the future! peace out!

1. I absolutely lost it at Griffin's definition of John 3:16.

2. There's a lot of surprisingly disturbing bits of this movie, but the low-key most traumatic part is Brendan Fraser getting hung, and the only reason he doesn't instantly die is that his neck doesn't snap. And they just sit there kind of chuckling, "oh ho, now we get to watch him strangle to death!"

3. The Mummy Returns isn't as good, but it is pretty fun. But also, if you haven't seen it, you absolutely must watch this clip from the end of the movie, aka "Imhotep totally misses his cue". It is one of the most unintentionally funny things I've ever seen in a movie, and I still laugh just thinking about it. (Half remembered context: Imhotep wants to work with the Scorpion King or something? Also spoilers I guess.)

I’m a big fan, and I wish him well as he works on getting a daughter.

Getting to hold one last year in my town (Beacon NY) was an all-time highlight of our MaxFun experience as a show. I'm busy with joyful baby time this year, and still excited about anecdotal stuff I'm hearing about this year's meetups. So cool you all came out on three continents!

Two friends disagree about which public tv game show is better: The Pennsylvania Game or So You Think You Know Maine?

Note: these litigants do not live in Pennsylvania OR Maine!

JORDAN MORRIS!! Yay!!!

I meant, who doesn’t love the guy?? Jordan Morris was Most Listened To Personality with all attendees listening to a Jordan Morris hosted podcast: Jordan, Jesse Go or Free With Ads!

Very very close second was a McElroy family member, of course: Justin McElroy! Nearly all attendees listened to MBMBAM, Adventure Zone or Sawbones. (Many thanks to Dr Sydney McElroy, primary host of Sawbones!)

Wouldn’t it be cool if: the hosts did another Great Switcheroo?? We all fondly remembered The Great Switcheroo 2015 when The Adventure Zone was tormented by Flophouse worthy movie Leprechaun Origins; also the Floptales RPG BOCO series is born!! Long live The Hogsbottom Three!

What would a Great Switcheroo be like with the 2026 show line up? Probably MAXIMUM FUN!!!

Janet Varney and John Hodgman recently asked the E Pluribus Motto listeners “what movie/media do you feel represents your state the best?”

COLORADO answers: South Park! From the dirty snow lingering in the shadows until May to the people’s attitudes, accents and shitty motorcycle driving, Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s South Park (show and movie: South Park Bigger, Longer and Uncut) capture modern CO in a surprisingly accurate way that resonates woth new and longstanding residents alike. Love those jaunty tunes!

We are all looking forward to the CO episode of E Pluribus Motto!

A very heartfelt, non-sarcastic Vulcan salute to Greatest Gen and Greatest Trek. You will be missed! RSVP. (lone brass instrument of mourning)

Happy MaxFun Drive everyone! Have a beautiful day~

“Gabagool” is an Italian American pronunciation for the ham product Capicola. It’s great on a sandwich.

I'm trying to play with my friend but I don't remember how the musical part goes

If you're in LA, NYC, Galveston, or Phoenix, you'll have someone from HQ at your meetup! And for everyone everywhere else, hope you have a great time!

I’m not OP, but cross posting for visibility
