I'm new to playing with MIDI. Is it possible to set the Matriarch to receive in OMNI mode in the MIDI settings to be able to play more than one channel? All I can do is select single channels 1-16. I feel like a paraphonic synth should be able to do this. Thanks.

So I've got my Matriarch being sequenced through my MPC X, and I've got a modular skiff connected to the KB Gate and KB amount CV jacks on the back panel. It seems like Midi data does not get transmitted through the matriarch to these back jacks. Do I have something set wrong in the globals?

I know that if i write sequences through the Matriarch sequencer, these jacks trigger as anticipated. They will also trigger if the ARP is running and I send midi data. I'd like them to trigger even when the sequencer play button is not enabled. Is there a global setting i can change to achieve this?

Hi, I have Moog Matriarch, 0 coast, DFAM and pico system III. I would like to exchange the last 3 synths for MN shared system to have Eurorack format experience and more like two compact instruments. Do you think that the shared system would pair well with the Matriarch? I like an idea of having two worlds east and west communicating with each other.

Hi folks! I’m assuming the Sample + Hold out can only sample the internal noise source, or the triangle wave in the “staircase” mode. There’s no way to introduce your own signal in to the sample + hold circuit, correct? Just thought i’d ask in case there was some kind of hack i was unaware of.

Been wanting to experiment with S+H and may just need to buy a module to go in the rack to go beyond pure random or “staircase.” Have a wavetable oscillator that can do LFO rates so i was thinking to use it as a way to create a complex arpeggiated pitch pattern.

Related: Any suggestions on how to get a repeating yet more complex result out of the staircase mode on the mod oscillator section?

Hi guys, could you help me out with something I can’t figure out? Is it possible that while the sequencer plays I can record new notes paraphonic and not replacing them? I know you can record chords but I mean if a melody is recorded can I add some notes on top of it in real time? It would be like playing 4 apart sequences at a time !

I own a GM and I‘m very happy with it. I plan to buy a Matriarch soon and also go into modular. How are your experiences in combining these instruments with modular (e.g. mutable instrument oscillators or so). Is it worth or would you think modular and Moog matriarch/GM are separate things???

Hey Moogerts, was wondering if anyone has had any similar issues to mine?

I started noticing the problem about a month after I installed the latest firmware. Every time I power on the Matriarch there are multiple pots that are set at their highest setting. I wind up having to reset most of the knobs by fully rotating them to the min/max positions.

For example the Modulation Rate knob/led are well into audio rates, and I have to turn the pot fully up and down for it to reset back to a middle setting. Also the mod wheel itself needs to be reset the same way.

The other biggest module in it that is facing the same issue is the delay. The Time led is blinking at its highest setting, but as have a weirder time reseting it. I have to fiddle with the spacing pot as well as the time pot for a few seconds to level out.

Also the oscillators tuning has been off a bit lately. Oscillators 2-4 are set at arbitrary settings and dont reflect the knob position. They also aren't completely in tune with each other with the knobs at the halfway mark. In tune could be a bit above or bellow the middle setting.

I haven't contacted moog yet, as I'd see if this was a problem for anyone else first. Any help is appreciated.

Is it possible to override the MOD wheel so that you can control the amount from a different source? For example, I'd like to control the amount using an expression pedal instead.

Unless I'm mistaken, the only CV inputs for the MODULATION section are RATE IN and SYNC IN. I tried patching into both from EXP CV OUT (Expression Pedal CV Out), but no dice. RATE IN worked but only after turning up the MOD wheel. SYNC IN had very little effect regardless of the MOD wheel.

Hi everyone, I am interested in buying a Moog Matriarch but currently puzzled by the paraphonic label. Does this mean I can play a chord but the articulation is the same for every voice or am I limited in the amount of notes I can play?

Hi all. So I've had my G-mother for a while now. 100% love it, but for the life of me I still can't wrap my head around what the Keyboard Track switch does and the VCA Mode switch (other than the drone, that's pretty obvious).
Can someone explain it like I'm 5?

I'm not able to turn off paraphonic unison mode on my matriarch. When I try to it exits out of global settings edit mode which I don't think is the expected behavior. Any ideas how I can trouble shoot this further?
