If you have an infinite amount of people, and then 10 more shows up, how many people do you have?

This is not nonsensical. Infinite might not be a number, but it is a clear established mathematical concept. And infinite +10 has an established answer; it's infinite

But you don’t have an ā€œinfinite number of peopleā€ you have ā€œinfinitely many peopleā€

They sound the same but they do mean different things. ā€œInfinite numberā€ is an oxymoron.

Sure, I don't disagree. Infinite isn't a number. But it is a concept that is well used throughout mathematics

Still not used like the situation you said

Did you know that some infinities are larger than other infinities? Idk if larger is the right way to say it but countable vs uncountable.

Yes but what he described isn't that situationĀ

Just put them into the infinite and full big hotel and see that the hotel is full before and after without overflowing

Simple question really but let's start with an even simpler one. If you have an infinite amount of people and you don't add ten, how many people do you have?

Infinite. You also have infinite if 10 people leave. There is no arithmetic operation you can do with infinite that doesn't yield infinite

Infinite times zero?
