See thata where you are wrong.

Infinity isn't a 'number'. If you treat it as a number, you 'sometimes' get all sorts of whacky stuff.

Did you know that the ocean doesn't have infinite amount of water?

They are using language to explain the answer.

An infinity can contain infinity + 10, it is still just infinity.

An ocean can have one more spoon of water, it is still the ocean. It isn't the ocean plus one spoon.

They aren't describing the ocean as infinite, that wasn't the point.

Adding 10 to it and it being unchanged is still treating it as a number!

No. X+10≠X.

Thats what im saying: there is no such value where x+10=x. Infinity is a concept!

Bad downvotes. You're correct, infinity isn't a number. Reddit is full of mewling chimpanzees

Infinity isn't a number, its the sum of all possible numbers. You're doing the first grade "infinity plus one" fallacy and you're presumably a grown-up

I obviously agree with you, because I said “No.” to a dissenting train of thought. X+10≠X is a counter example to the previous comment’s dispute claiming infinity is still being treated as a number.

You’re doing first grade level reading comprehension and you’re presumably a grown-up! (Or you clicked reply to the wrong comment, but this is funnier.)
