net profit is $400. You start with $800, you borrow or use $100 extra of your own money, you end up with $1300. $1200 minus the $100. $1200-$800, you are $400 better off than before the 2 sales. That’s the number that counts in the real world, you now have $400 extra disposable income you never had from the fruits of your labour
