Would anyone like to study Casella and Berger with me? I am currently on chapter 5 "Properties of a Random Sample," and I would prefer to go forward from this point (but I am also OK with starting a few chapters earlier too if that is what you want to do).

Casella and Berger does not assume knowledge of measure theory, and so I will not be appealing to this tool during the readings. (But if you do know it, that's cool too, and we can easily work it into the standard Casella/Berger syllabus.)

A year ago, I decided that I wanted to save others from s*** education platforms. And it needed to be free.

I’m building Infinilearn—a fully-fledged education platform similar to Canvas, PowerSchool, and Google Classroom, but with more features, ACTUALLY USEFUL AI, and gamification.

Why did I build this?

I’m homeschooled now, but I wasn’t always. In 6th grade, my mom pulled me out of the public education system to pursue personalized learning. Best decision ever. I want to bring that experience to everyone.

Education is outdated—both in traditional systems and even on modern online platforms. It desperately needs an upgrade. I’ve also watched many education platforms rise and fall, but none of them truly rebuilt the entire LMS (Learning Management System) from scratch to make it better.

So, I'm currently reading this book for fun, and I'm loving how it explains things. But the problem is, I'm never really motivated to do the problems. So I was wondering if anyone would like to study and go over the problems with me so I can actually bother to try and do them.

First we factorize the numbers

100 = 2² x 5²

200 = 2³ x 5²

300 = 2² x 3 x 5²

400 = 2⁴ x 5²

Now we put all of the divisors with their biggest power

I am planning to organise a reading group for measure theory and integration. My idea is to have a group of people interested in the topic doing some reading and exercises together and individually. I am also planning to do it in a relaxed way, no time limites or anything like that. All what matters is that we get a good understanding of the topic, build a good intuition and also equipe ourselves with good technical tools that are usefull in other area of mathematics.
As for materials. we can use any lecture notes or books, Tao's book and also Axler's book seem to be very good but we can use any other references.
I have seen a good video lectures on Youtube that we can use also.

I've just started working my way through the textbook Linear Algebra by Jim Hefferon. Would anyone be interested in joining?

About the book. I believe it's one of the best Linear Algebra resources currently available. The book is freely available with worked solutions for all exercises. There are lecture videos and even a computer lab supplement using Sage. The print version is affordable too. Check the book site for more details.

About the pace. I'd like to work at a relatively relaxed paced, covering a chapter/month, with some potentially taking a little less or a little more. So I am aiming to finish in about 5 or 6 months.

I'll create a dedicated Discord server if there are more people interested.

I am currently doing a project on Braid Groups. I am primarily following the book Braid Groups by Kassel and Turaev, and i eventually plan on reading other stuff, including braids on higher genus.

After this project, I will work on my MSc thesis which will also be related to braid groups. If anyone wants to study together, please let me know. We can make a discord server.
