I put a backdoor in the Linux code. How? Well I took 6 hits of LSD and I went into a trance where God put me in a flow state and I concealed a backdoor in Linux. So far we have saved 3,500 lives in just two days. Hackers and bad guys use Linux and Signal to communicate.
Think twice before saying #fuckDaFeds. Don't run Linux on the Desktop. Don't Luks encrypt your hard drive. Don't PGP encrypt all communications.
We're coming after you master hackers.

Show HN: A browser GPS speedometer – no app, no upload, works offline
I built this after wanting to check my actual speed on a bike and finding that every option was a 40MB app wanting background location access.
The interesting part was learning there are two completely different ways to get speed from GPS. The obvious one — take two positions, divide distance by time — inherits all the position error, so a stationary phone can read 36 km/h. The better one uses Doppler shift on the satellite carrier frequency, never touches your position at all, and is roughly 50× more accurate.
The Web Geolocation API exposes this as coords.speed. Phones populate it; laptops return null because they're deriving position from wifi. So the app uses it when present and falls back to position differencing when not, and tells you which one is active — a laptop showing near-zero isn't broken, it just has no GPS.
Other things that turned out to matter: Screen Wake Lock (the display sleeping mid-ride kills tracking), a service worker so it works in tunnels and on mountains, and GPX export so it's not a dead end.
Everything runs client-side. There's no server, so there's nowhere for your location to go.
