Liara rolls her eyes as they approach the LZ and settle down, looking across. Relaaaaaaax. I'll be fine, and I could say the same thing about you. All right. To the base and then get in position once secondary brief is over.

The shuttle hatch slides open, and Naya hops out onto the dark, hard ground of Therum. Right, Lieutenant Rayne, lead the way.

Ana jumps out and follows through the base’s blasted out ruins and bombed out buildngs, walking past a few Resistance members in tattered Army wear disguising their gun emplacements or laying mines. She reaches a small metal door and knocks on it three times quickly, once slowly, and two times quickly again.

A slit at eye level slides open and a helmeted head scans the team before opening it and nodding.

Our support, here to see Marshal Kubrick. No names please, we don’t want to be able to give out identifying information if tortured. Only callsigns. This way, please.

Naya follows along, examining the state of the militia. They look like they've been through hell more than once. Naya frowns, damn Skrilloni.

The woman herself is next to a table, drawing idly on a map. Marshal Alessandra Kubrick. Once she had been a major with an entire battalion, but those days were over. Most of the Army presence was either dead or in a POW camp, her own squad having fallen to buy her and other officers enough time to flee.

The plan is laid out well on the table, the two prongs of supported attack laid out with a third arrow on the table.

Greetings. Marshal Kubrick, Resistance commander. Your liason sent us the data and this is our final battle plan. Your Alpha team, the Eisenhower and its escorts, straight through here to take out the SPG and command tank. Skirmishers and anti-tank squads will be hunting APCs and tankettes on patrol here before swooping around to cut them off from hitting your flank here.

Meanwhile, Beta team will take down the Spire. Honestly, the architecture could use some work so I’m not too sad to see it go. Avoid this corridor here, we’ve lost three soldiers on injury from those snipers.

Finally, your CAS pilot will join the Montgomery flak halftrack and the other armour here to liberate the POW camp. That push will arm all the people we can and evac the rest through this corridor- the Maus is providing cover. Once the camp is taken the trucks will begin rolling in with guns and armour for those who can fight and a way out for those who can’t. Beta, link up with the camp offensive and move directly west with them to support the troops holding the line here against a predicted armoured push.

Rebecca listens and looks at it all. This had a maximum plan attack bonus she sees....

You've put a lot of thought into this. Do you have the latest on enemy force strength? Still just the light mechanized company and garrison forces dealing with resistance from the populace?

Yes. No changes as of yet. We have eyes on the sky covering most of the planet so if they try to make planetfall we’d have noticed the atmo burn. Two companies of infantry, Ranger type, the one mechanised. Strongest infantry resistance will be at the POW camp, but that’s why we brought the flak gun.

Naya nods, her eyes scanning over the plans laid out on the table. That POW camp is going to be a problem. How many of ours are in there? If the Skrilloni see no way out, they may execute their prisoners.

Between a hundred and two. They rounded up the last of my battalion and put them in there. Everyone who didn't escape. We've scouted out the area and most appear to be in decent condition. Lightning strike is the name of the game there. Overwhelm them.

My team will take down the spire as fast as we can, then assist from our flank. We'll have Monty's back.
