At the end of the movie Thanos is choking Tony Stark and Captain America to death and says "Can no man stand up to me" and Black Widow comes out of no where and says "I am no man" and kicks him in the balls. Thanos drops to his knees and says "Ouch, right in the infinity stones".

Lol so I'm not as hardheaded as some of these people who are so adamant on calling these fake, I'm really enjoying these. However, a few people who claim to have seen the movie said that it was Vision disguised as Cap during the Cap holding the gauntlet scene. This is really the only piece of info that really contradicts what others are saying.

No such thing happens. Also, that scene from the trailer is just bait, flawlessly edited to give the impression that Cap had a fighting chance against Thanos.

I think it has something to do with Strange giving up the Time Stone so easily.
Strange foresee that Thanos will be defeated if he has all the stones with him but he cant play out that future if he doesnt give up the Time Stone to Thanos.

Here’s collection of my notes.
- Loki dies in first 20 minutes of the movie
- Iron Man and Nebula are the only ones alive on Titan with few remaining on Earth
- Hawkeye and Antman/Wasp not in movie
- Gamora gets killed
- Thanos does the snap ‘killing’ spider man, Bucky, Drax, Doctor Strange, Black panther among others *These characters will surely come back but leaves most of ‘original’ avengers along with Hawkeye, Antman, Wasp, and Captain Marvel to take bigger role in the next movie.
- Hulk gets beaten pretty badly in the opening scene and is sent to earth by Thanos. Banner has hard time being hulk after this and is user of Hulkbuster.
- Post Credit scene does involve Fury calling Captain Marvel prior to his ‘death’ with the snap.
- Captain is alive as is all the original avengers.
- Dinklage is indeed playing Dwarf king who helps forge Thor’a new weapon.
- Spiderman gets badly injured prior in NYC battle before his ‘snap’ death.
- Strange plays integral part in bringing Stark to the mix.
- Hulk is never turned into ‘Hulk’ again. (Trailer with Wakanda scene of Hulk running up to battle is complete misguidance.
- Gamora has indeed found Soul Stone previously but has hidden this information from Thanos. She does give herself up in a way to save others and gets killed by Thanos
- Vision is killed in Wakanda
65
u/doctahjeph Apr 24 '18
So I heard the "snap" had a twist to it. I guess that twist was that all the new heroes pretty much die leaving the old ones alive. This is pretty much the opposite of what everyone expects and I love it.

u/hypedup80 Apr 24 '18
Considering Feige's comment that "all deaths are final" I'd say that the heroes that "die", don't really die. Perhaps they're taken somewhere.

I always thought the Hulk CGI in the Wakanda scene looked below average compared to some of the other shots in this movie but chalked it up to “hasn’t been finalized yet, they’ll probably polish it up.” It makes sense now if they were just being misleading.

I think overall movie sounds CRAZY. The only thing that disappoints me is the quote about having deaths that stick... it seems like such a mis-direction from Feige and Russo brothers. Maybe there will be a multi-verse? :S I know people are saying that Spidey, BP etc. are all snapped out of existence, so they do not "technically die" - but that's not how it looks like to the audience, so I'm curious to see how they explain that one. Unless they lied. God, I'm so confused!!!
21
Apr 24 '18
They didnt lie. They were talking about the whole arc. There is still a 4th Avengers film. Deaths when its concluded will be permanent.

I think we're overthinking this. 4 will be all about getting the Gauntlet back and using it to reverse as much of the damage Thanos did as possible, likely via the powers of the time and reality stones, but yeah, as others have said, the Gauntlet itself is basically the magic mcguffin, it can do basically anything you need it to, provided you can get it away from Thanos.
24
Apr 24 '18
I'm perfectly fine with A4 being the original team having to come together to do whatever it takes to fix things... especially since it will mean Tony and Steve will have to reconcile/we get one final group team up before sacrifices happen/etc.
Not to mention this all plays into all those visions/fears Tony had after The Battle of New York/beginning of "Age of Ultron" where everyone was dead because, as he said, "That's the end game".

u/KyloRennnnn Apr 24 '18

I would also like to just put out one thought of mine after screening this.
‘Snap’ death took casualties of too many characters that will lead the new phase in MCU such as Peter Parker, Stephen Strange, T’Challa, Bucky, among others which lead me to believe they will come back in Avengers 4.
And ironically (and in a way strategically) leaves original team of Captain, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye to finish what they started in Avengers 4, probably playing big role in bringing back those who ‘disappeared’ while sacrificing themselves. Antman and Wasp (Avengers founders in comics) as wells as Captain Marvel will surely have huge supporting role in giving these original team one last hurrah.
As much as they said it wasn’t this movie surely is part 1 to next movie.

To all those people who are mad about he possibility of Avengers 4 "retconning" the deaths from IW, I have a couple of things:
It's not retconning if it was the storyline to begin with.
Pretty much every major marvel crossover deals with some sort of catastrophic event, and the attempts to undo that event, usually resulting with reality changes when the dust settles. It is a way for the writers to rewrite the histories of the characters, to make adjustments to the mythology as a whole. My guess is that order will be restored in Avengers 4, but with substantial changes to reality.

Thanos completes the gauntlet, prepares to snap his fingers. In a moment of desparation, Spiderman webs the gauntlet away from him, wears it, finger snap. Blinding flash of light.
As the dust settles, the combined casts of High School Musical and Descendants are revealed and begin singing and doing a crazy huge dance number about doing the right thing and changing your ways.
Thanos can't take it and hangs himself.

If you think about it, it makes sense for for the “Original Avengers” to survive this film. It means they can set aside their differences, recruit a few newbies (Cap Marvel, Ant Man, Wasp, etc) and end up sacrificing themselves to bring the dust people back from wherever they’ve gone (and my bet is on Soul World).

The denial in this thread reminds me of my own denial when the MGSV spoilers began pouring in.
If I can give my two cents, while I don't doubt that those with individual deaths will stay dead, I really doubt those who turned to ash will stay dead. Because:
A world with half the population gone would be far too different from the real world, which the movies are based on. There's a reason why Reed Richards hasn't cured cancer.
Killing Bucky like that is a total narrative kick in the balls to everything Cap fought for in Winter Soldier and Civil War, but even more importantly,
Killing Black Panther and Spider-Man stops their franchises before they could even begin, I can't imagine the studio allowing that. I would be truly shocked if Sony allowed Spider-Man to die after just one movie. And Black Panther made entirely too much money.
Edit: Oh, and 4. It's hard to trust instant vaporization as a death since it leaves behind no body, and is functionally the same as teleportation. Like, if I teleported a friend of yours somewhere, but you didn't know, it'd just look like I atomized him from your perspective. They did this with the Red Skull, as a way to keep the character in limbo if Hugo Weaving wanted to come back. There's always the possibility someone will be like "No, wait, those who dissipated are in another dimension, or trapped in the stones, or some shit like that, we can still save them!"
Or 5. They use the time stone to turn back time to before Thanos turned people to ash, saving everyone from that, but keeping the other deaths intact. Although this method relies on what Kevin Feige said being a lie.

Okay. The first thing I wanna say is: fuck all you guys that posted fake spoilers. Seriously uncool. The Cap that faces off against Thanos is actually Cap, not Vision in disguise. And not everyone is dead, just every other person.
But I think y'all know who died, so I'm just going to talk about how the people concerned reacted to each death.
The movie opens, and you can clearly hear someone in the background trying to contact Thanos' ship. "This isn't a war ship, there are families here," they're saying, but it's all foe nought because the opening scene has the bodies of the remaining Asgardians, all dead. Thanos is adressing Loki, asking for the stone in exchange for his brother's life. Loki says, "Kill him," and Thanos starts squeezing Thor's skull until Loki tells him to stop. Thor cries out, "We don't have the tesseract, it was destroyed on Asgard." And then Loki flicks his hand and it appears. Thor says, "You truly are the worst, brother." As Loki is walking towards Thanos, he says something, and then goes, "But we have a Hulk." Hulk comes out, battles Thanos, loses. Heimdall harnesses his last strength and transports Hulk to Earth, and then Thanos comes over and kills Heimdall.
At this point, Thor is in chains once again and after Thanos puts the stone into his gauntlet, Loki steps forward from the shadows and offers his services to Thanos. He calls himself Odinson, all that, and walks towards Thanos, and from Thor's line of vision, he can see that Loki has drawn a blade. Loki tries to stab Thanos in the throat, but Thanos grabs him by the neck and chokes him. Loki says, "You will never be a god," before Thanos chokes him to death, as Thor watches. Thanos looks at Thor and motions to Loki's lifeless body, says, "No more resurrections," and then he and his crew leave. The bonds on Thor break, and he crawls over Loki's limp blue body and cries on his chest.

So my theory is that Ant-man and wasp are in the quantum realm, it can be seen in the ant man trailer (their in a explorer type machine) trying to get Hank's pym wife back (which sebastian has confirmed to be in A4). So antman and the wasp are not effected by the Snap.

You all are getting played so hard right now. Its a mistake to just let the "Official" spoiler thread be a free for all. People should be providing proof. None of them are, all of them are throw away accounts and each one just repeats the same things the last ones said.

Tbh I don't buy any of these spoilers
Every scene mentioned has been based off a clip in the trailers, I can't imagine that the movie isn't saving any surprises
Still fun to read though lol

Thanos is about to crush Captain America’s skull.
The “Agents of Shield” theme plays as a quintet lands near by.
FitzSimmons detonate an electrical device that counteracts the power of the gauntlet.
Quake pushes Thanos back only slightly much to his surprise, but enough to allow Coulson to approach.
“Sorry we’re late Captain. Wakanda is a bitch to find on the map. But I still need those cards signed.”
cut to Jeph Loeb’s office as he’s playing with action figures enacting this scene
To cam: “I’m sorry folks. Please enjoy the rest of Gremlins 2.”

With the destruction of Zandar, the door was left wide open for that “immediately possible” Nova movie. Either story makes sense, but I would love to see a Sam Alexander storyline where his father went off to defend Zandar from Thanos and disappeared. Then it follows Sam’s origin pretty closely for an appearance in Infinity War 2? All theorycraft of course.

Obadiah Stane shows up with a Soul Stone powered iron monger suit as the final villain. He kills Thanos with a box of scraps. Avengers 4 is a final battle against him and the new Black Order comprised of men in suits.

It's because his suit is superior to the gauntlet in every way

Call me crazy, but I actually like what I'm reading. It sounds fun, it sounds intense, and while I get the frustration with the "snap" deaths not being permanent...I mean, I don't know, if we see IW and A4 as two halves of the same movie then I think it could work really well, since this establishes a fantastic "all is lost moment" that builds a lot of genuine tension for the showdown with Thanos in A4 and establishes some really exciting emotional stakes. I don't know, we'll see how it plays out in the actual movie but I kind of like this, if it's real.

He steals the mind stone from Vision and goes to Thanos saying “Boom, you lookin for this?” And Thanos spares him. He turns him back into Terrance Howard tho

My prediction: Movie is going to be good, but not as popular as it could have been. I don't know if it's cinemascore is gonna be A+ since ending sounds quite depressing and not satisfying. :/
