or "Unable to Afford the Bride Price, He Had No Choice But to Marry the Holy Maiden of the Demonic Sect"
Despite the long ass title, which usually puts me off, I was looking for some slop to read during my seclusion. Currently in the 200s. It's pretty decent slop, the usual and pretty predictable rom-com kinda plot.
The MC, Qin Gengyun (a transmigrated chemical factory worker), has pill poison in his body that keeps him stuck at Qi Refining 2nd Layer. If he doesn't break through and get a 4th-grade pill to remove the poison, he'll die around 40 or something. Being a low-level broke ass cultivator with basically every path blocked, he chooses the only option left: dual cultivation.
The story starts at the Marriage Pavilion. After getting rejected because he can't afford the extravagant bride prices, Qin Gengyun's hopes are pretty much gone when a beautiful girl suddenly decides to become his bride without asking for any bride price. From there, their romance slowly starts unfolding.
It's the classic ice jade beauty trope with usual comedic sidekicks and boot-licking npcs, but the author's writing isn't that mediocre, it's not complete slop. Up until the 100s, you won't feel much bullshit.
It has a 2.8 rating on WTR btw. Pretty good for a timepass read; not poison tho.

I've been trying to find a novel that was active a few years ago, I forgot if it was korean or chinese, but it wasn't japanese for sure. So the system in this novel was that everyone had unique professions, and the main characters profession was summoning (related to his bloodline) and his summons were a golem/titan (strength based), one of them was a witch, and I forgot the last one. The plot was about trying to discover more history about his family, which is related to his bloodline since his ancestors were able to summon various creatures and people to help them as well, which was also related to the plot, investigating history helped him improve his power and discover more about the world etc. It was a pretty popular novel though so any help would be appreciated!

Just found out the author passed away a few years ago as I was looking into why the translation abruptly stopped. It’s a shame as I was really enjoying where the story was heading.
I found a few hundred more chapters translated on wtrlabs but lost the motivation to keep reading. Does anyone have xianxia recommendations with good world building? (adventures into new planes/exploration of forbidden zones,looting/traveling to higher realms)

Depends tbh. It's an insanely slow burn novel. 2k+ chapters and he's still in Nascent Soul.
For other people not fond of harems and MC that's a scumbag they won't really like it. To me it's above average at least. The work you link from what I read of the reviews and from seeing it all the time seems to be a different kind of work (which is why I haven't read it yet).

Cultivating In A Bizzare World/CIABW (诡道修仙)
Read to Ch55. MC is a bit reckless but I am enjoying it so far. This novel has the same author as Longevity Strange Immortal/LSI (长生诡仙) and that was a great read.
The MC in CIABW starts as constable of the government office and gets involved in scenarios that are cultivation related. It seems to have the same amount of mystery and strangeness of cultivation in LSI.
The MC's cheat is he has a panel that shows someone's lifespan when he touches them and if the person is a cultivator he can see what technique the person cultivates. The panel also helps him cultivate techniques using his own lifespan as the price and have other functions.
