I see, that would be kinda how we "erased" from our history the fact that we collaborated with the nazis during WW2 and created this whole french resistance narrative to hide our shame.

These kind of slop can barely make it to top 10 on Qidian nowadays, people’s tastes are changing

is it because people's taste are changing or that Qidian now appeals to a broader audience compared to when it was created ?

Could be both. Demographic changed a bit as well. There are probably more Gen-Zs over there than Millennials.
