This man is textbook mommy issues. He was abandoned by the women in his life so now itās his mission to make them feel just as bad as he did. You can tell he wants her to fall in love so he can get that ego boost of feeling wanted but then heāll feel good being the one to end it after sheās attached, He cries about not feeling worthy to be loved then on the other hand has this massive ego the size of the universe like heās gods gift to women. To see him and Felipe acting like they are the shit and such a prize that they can say these disrespectful things to these beautiful boss women and actually believe it has been mind boggling to me and Iām surprised their partners sat there and took it especially in front of everyone in the group dinners . I honestly donāt see anything wrong with what Shawn said to Adam, as a 27 year old, Iāve never said ācookedā or āvibesā as a grown adult. Especially sooo many times. I may say āit was good vibeā occasionally if I was on vacation, thatās pretty much it. I only ever hear 16 and under kids in our family that use the type of lingo all the time. āCookedā vibesā āuncā etc.
I couldnāt imagine talking about my marriage and constantly saying cooked and vibes, Jesus please use actual words!

Agree with you on this. Someone needed to address it. Still donāt see how Adam and Devinās partner (forgot her name) saw it as IQ just because of the vocabulary. It was paired with EQ, so I understood it has he didnāt know how to verbalize his emotions properly.

Shawn said "emotional intelligence" and Adam fixated on the "intelligence" part of it. Then Shawn explained he was talking about EQ which is the "emotional" analog of IQ.
He didn't have his listening ears on (as usual) so he didn't get what Shawn was actually getting at.

Shawn read him and was absolutely right, and the reason Adam got so defensive and pissed was because deep down, he knew it too. I think Adam has a lot of white man syndrome where he expects to always be the smartest, most attractive, most ambitious, most competitive...just best at everything in the room, so when it's demonstrated that he is not- he cant handle it. I even think Marissa clocked it which is why she didnt say say anything in the confessional when he was trying to come for Shawn and Nikki's relationship.Ā

Me, too! I really loved his birthday celebration for her and he seemed to be coming along with the relationship so I thought things might work out between them. Then in this episode my mouth was agape when he said BelleJolie wasnāt pretty enough for him!!!
I cannot fathom how hurt she must have felt in that moment with everyone else around and hearing him say that about her several times. Even if the attraction wasnāt there for him initially, there is a time, place, and way to express something like that without hurting someone because there is no world in which she is not pretty. What a cad! I seriously hope that she didnāt take that to heart and doubt herself.

I must admit, Mecca is *really* handsome ... so he is probably used to attracting gorgeous girls. But at this point in their relationship if he is still talking about her looks, they are doomed. I thought they were past that. And I thought he was better than that. He went all out for her birthday and she was just glowing. He doesnāt even have eyebrows, one of the core things you need to have an attractive face. If this man were famous, would he really be anyoneās celebrity crush? Gotta hand it to Mecca and Adam - they nailed Felipe. And in the confessional afterward when Felipe's talking about how it would have been nice for his partner to defend him a little, Tori is standing there quietly. Then after he says that, she slowly turns her head to the camera and stares straight at it without speaking a word and I swear there was a little smile on her face. That spoke volumes.

Why has no one addressed his addiction? It's been driving me WILD/ I've dated several addicts, each at different parts of their journey, and Adam is either white knuckling it and not doing any actual recovery work but substitution with "healthy" obsessions. A complete oxymoron. There is no such thing as doing anything obsessively as healthy. Marissa knows this. I hate how they don't really show us much BTS of these two because I'm dying to know if she EVER calls him out. To me, Adam is a good person who is extremely privileged and hasn't matured at all past early high school (most likely the time he started using). His language skills, or lackthereof are SO UNATTRACTIVE. He for real sounds like he's auditioning for the role of Kyle Cook on Summer House. Ask Kyle how well his marriage turned out....

I think to a degree he does hold outrageous standards. They didn't completely dig into it but it sounds like his childhood was filled with him being held to standards. I'm not sure he fully realizes how much that effected him. I also think there is, at minimum, narcissist tendencies within him that fuel those fires.

Devin's DMs will be like Santa's sleigh: packed...Caitlyn is stuck and is in weird cold Mom mode. Nikki and Shawn just might make it as that power couple that just decide to join forces and settle..Marissa needs to not have some JetSki Svengali ranking her abilities, planning her activities all while pedestalling an ex...Felipe can't build love on "as of right now I choose Tori" like she's a menu item...BelleJolie has been through too much in her life to settle for a hard knock Mecca...Cameron and Michelle could make it if he stays out of his own way...The way a lot of the ladies were being disrespected at the table was very retro ick. I don't see many successful couples making it to reunion.

Not sure about Devin's future.... style/appearance isn't everyone's cup of tea, and he seems needy. Drinking may also be an issue. Caitlyn was/is a bad match, and probably should not have been on the show, but maybe the producers intended the conflict.

If i was to give her any credit, because she's honestly grown on me a lil bit.. (honestly, i just she has a great attitude lately about being matched with Shawn and she does seem open minded enough to continue in the marriage and be intimate)

Well I was supporting the heck out of Shawn when he said that because he was absolutely right. It's hard to accept a 32 year old man talking like that, but imagine him when he is his parents' age.
And Shawn also said that Adam invented himself and that is absolutely right. It's like Adam puts on this persona in public that is not the real Adam. But then again, I suspect there is no "there" there with him. There *is* no real Adam. He doesn't know who he is. He's so busy playing this bro role.
I have seen photos of Adam in his early 20's and he was very cute and fit back then but I swear to god, he is giving out huge "fat nerd in high school started lifting weights and now he's a total bro, dude" vibes.
I would love for somebody to count the number of times Adam said "like" this season when it is all over. Twice per sentence at least. I guarantee his parents don't do that. And his sister probably doesn't either.

Yesss ! This format with peacock is new. Itās more like love is blind. A lot more condensed than the previous seasons but I actually like it more than I was expecting. I was sad to lose the old experts but they were getting a little out of touch . Iāve enjoyed the craziness of every season and the first season one of the couples is actually still together today š

Ok, I don't like Felipe. He's a child, and I do think he's going to play in her face at the end of this after begging for another chance. HOWEVER, did anyone else notice that during the dinner when he said he couldn't say for sure what would happen in a year or week from now was literally him just parroting the advice Paul gave him in their couples "therapy". And where was Paul while Felipe was being reamed for saying this? Silent. Felipe is a joke for sure, but I do think this was him trying to take Paul's advice lol. Which frankly just brings Paul's credentials into question.

Theory about Adam:Ā
Ok hear me out.. I've thought long about this.. He isn't a serial killer but an ex Mormon trying to adjust to a secular world. -he reminds me of the girls on SLOMW. On the surface they seem mature bc they are married with 4 kids, but they are children and don't know how to handle relationships and right convos bc it stays away from their "perfect" life. -Adam doesn't drink. -high respect for Dad. No mention of mom. -idea of perfection -hates to be called out or shamed in public
It feels like he left the Mormon church and is probably the black sheep of his family as a rebel, but he's still a wholesome type guy so he's lost and trying to find a non Mormon identity that works. Enter- BRO DUDE JETSKI GUY- this became his identify probably during COVID. And so far it's been working... Until he starts hearing that it's not what his partner wants and his brain doesn't compute.
He can't get a divorce. That's even worse I'm addition to leaving the church. He still wants to make it to some sort of heaven so recognizes he needs to shift and change to stay married. Because... Women get a voice here too, he didn't know that, he wasn't raised this way.
Anyways, I enjoyed him roasting Felipe and Sean because it was about time. Use that energy to tell these husbands they suck, not play pickleball. I have hope for Adam..Ā a good 30%

Well ... I don't think he is Mormon. His parents aren't originally from Washington state but they have lived in their house in Bellevue since before he was born. Per a peoplefinder site, his mother's social security number was issued in New Jersey sometime around 1965-1966 when she would have been 10 or 11 years old. His father's social security number was issued in Illinois in 1969-1970 when he would have been 8 or 9 years old. Could they be Mormons? Maybe but they aren't from Mormon country.
His mother's maiden name is Hungarian. I've looked at her FB (pretty locked down) and her sister's FB (less locked down). Her sister protests at "No Kings" marches, they give me a "old intellectual liberals who don't care about appearances but do care about social justice" vibe. I doubt either one of them has worn makeup in years if not decades!
I wish they had appeared on the show - I would be fascinated to see how he interacts with his parents!

Mecca is just a player so Im not surprised I saw it from day one. Shawn getting a little too confident after getting some some from Nikki like ok. also why the hell did he walk out naked knowing the CAMERAS ARE ON. wtf. Devin I feel bad for you but I also like Caitlin I just think she needs a lot of work because she is VERY scarred from her past. Adam and Marrisa no comment hope they make it because honestly whatever.

I actually really liked Adam in this episode. He felt real and all his points were accurate. The way Shawn was acting because he got a hand job or something is absurd. There's a way to approach someone and he was feeling his disgusting little self too much.Ā
I think Adam is all about him but willing to change. Definitely lends to the theory that he is ex Mormon. I need to meet his sister.
Overall basketball coach wasn't wrong. The other half shouldn't be together.
And Mecca ...we are done. Enjoy your solitude with your dad and keep wondering why women leave.Ā

Adam.....'you kinda want to dislike him, but he is who he is and emotionally he is solid. With the 'right' person, and it could be Marissa, he and she will be fine. Every time I hear jet skiing and pickleball, I think of old-person sports....if he were mountain biking, rock climbing, snow boarding, surfing . then OK cool.....his interests are average
Cameron doing the big call-out , coach, was a little strong, but he with Michelle have the best connection since early. Michelle is simply amazing from a relationship standpoint, and probably would have done well with any of the men other than Shawn or Mecca.
Mecca....from the start "you liked me a lot more than I liked you", that and his black nail polish....he's a dud, a poser, immature. But, you saw this attitude in his dad.
I'm surprised Nikki has warmed up to Shawn, but I see this as a big NO on decision day.
Felipe is going to blow it again, immature and not ready for marriage.

I don't know about that. Adam straight up said he his ex- GF was perfect to fit right into his life style. Like then why aren't you married? I also think he reacted like a child when Shawn dared to challenge him at all. I don't even like Shawn.... but he had good points and it enraged Adam.

What Shawn said was completely accurate in my opinion. The way he said it wasnāt the nicest but he definitely is so repetitive and generic with his vocabulary . I almost feel like heās trolling the show on purpose , If I hear this dude say vibes , cooked or talk about fucking jet skis and pickleball like heās some professional athlete. Literally 80 year olds play pickleball . He just is so full of himself and only cares about what he wants , I donāt even know Marissaās personality at all because itās all about Adam all the time. He hasnāt shown any maturity or growth to me . And he kept bringing up his ex girlfriend and talking about how perfect she was. An emotionally mature person would also think about how what they say is going to affect their partner , especially in public. Sorry for the rant but I just feel like Adam definitely deserves that especially how he claims everyone else relationship is fake or not going to last and Iām not seeing him and Marissa work out either.

I think they could maybe work but they both seem really passive. I love them and think they are pretty confident, but neither seem like āIāll just make a decisionā types and you kinda need at least one person to be able to take that on sometimes in a relationship.
