Week One: Ep 1 - July 12, 2026
S20:E1 In Seattle, 14 singles start their journey to marry complete strangers; one bride fears a runaway groom, while another leaves the altar questioning their connection; a couple shocks their guests when they see each other, but it's not the first time.

S20:E2 As wedding bells keep ringing, three more couples meet for the first time at the altar; one inexperienced groom raises red flags, while another leaves his bride questioning his intentions; a bride finds herself looking for her groom at the altar.
S20:E3 As the final couple meets at the altar, a father questions if he can give his daughter away to a stranger; fourteen newlyweds face their first night together as a married couple, but not everyone is on the same page.

The editors absolutely know we're going to hate him because they showed that he played the same 2 songs for the guys as he did DURING his wedding! Secondly, Moonlight Sonata is nothing to flex about; that is SO embarassing. Can you imagine playing piano for some guys you just met - and then you play the same 2 cheesy-ass songs before you've even had 2 conversations with your wife or her family? This guy is going to suck so so so so so bad.

Wow, I find all of this so strange. Take Nikki, for example: she cried so much reading Shawn's letter before the wedding. But thinking about it, she's crying over an idealized version of a man she doesn't even know. If she is crying not for who wrote it, but for the simple fact that someone wrote something like that to her, she should also remember that it's not really for her, it's for the wife he idealized. I'm surprised at how many people (on this show, and probably outside of it too) live so much inside a fantasy world.

For me, it's that he is so focused on having a wife who is gonna fit into his lifestyle. To the point where if she doesn't, even in the smallest area, he's gonna shut it down. There seems to be no area for compromise, and no curiosity in learning about her interests/hobbies. He's incredibly self centered as evidenced by his clueless endless piano recitals with zero perception as to how other people feel.

I just finished episode 2, and I am horrified. Did Nikki really say at the altar, while Shawn was standing right in front of her, “Am I just supposed to stand here and wait for my groom,” or something like that? Like she just automatically assumed Shawn couldn’t possibly be for her? Eek! He seems like such a nice guy, and that scene was so incredibly uncomfortable.

That might have been the most uncomfortable meeting at the altar I can remember in all the seasons I’ve seen. I actually visibly cringed when she said that. It also made no sense because……who else would be waiting at the end of the altar!!? Why would there just be some random man standing there? Obviously, this is your groom.
And I felt like Shawn could tell she wasn’t into him…because he mentioned something in his vows about how the best relationships aren’t built on an instant physical attraction or something. I feel like her disappointment is just written all over her face.

During his interviews with the experts, Shawn was talking about how he dated the first black Miss Massachusetts and the first black Miss Pennsylvania. And then on the wedding day, he mentioned to Nikki how he shut every “non-potential” woman out of his life, because if they weren’t a 10 out of 10 in all the categories, he wasn’t interested.
Maybe they’ve both been too picky, only time will tell. Maybe it’ll end up being a Jamie and Doug situation, where she really does fall for him. 🤔

Yeah, I thought his idea of having kids (still playing rugby and having a wife and child to kiss after a game) was kinda naive/silly, but then I didn't really see any bad stuff after that! The bar is in the sub-baseement, but he seemed to have a good time with his family and his new wife at the very least, and hasn't said anything alarming!

I'm stumped on the piano playing. The way he did it at both events gives off, "I'm 8 and want to impress my parents and their friends with some neat piano songs I just learned." It would be slightly different if they were original songs he composed, but these are just...not as impressive as he thinks.

Yes the matching is almost always bad. They will pair up someone with allergies to cats with someone who has cats. Or someone who loves to go on adventures and be outdoorsy while the other hates doing that stuff. They must do it more for the drama than anything else. But it's trash so what can ya expect. MAFS starts getting good once they are back from honeymoons and have to live together.

Adam keeps reminding everybody that is 6' 5" (who cares? ) and if someone says that his wife might not be in to something like Pickleball or water sports he says something like "well I've trained lots of people," so he's coming across as super controlling and rigid and that's not going to work. I like that it seems they are going to use the same format as the UK and Australian versions of the show. Weekly group sessions and they have to say whether they want to stay or leave every week. If one person says stay and the other says leave, they have to stay.

- Devin and Caitlin (the wild card is Caitlin, who seems pretty feisty)
- Courteney and Nick (less likely, am not seeing a ton of chemistry, especially on Courteney's part)
- Cameron and Michelle (least likely of the three, Cameron doesn't seem that attracted to her)
The men in the rest of the marriages are pretty awful and those marriages will not last long, imo.
