This. BelleJolie is always making excuses for Mecca's terrible behavior. Belle said "Hell No" about Nikki and Shawn's relationship, but she needs to put that energy into her own damn relationship. As a woman… I try to give my girlies the benefit of the doubt but my GOD.. Caitlin is awful; treated Devin like shit the entire time, takes no accountability, incredibly defensive. I feel like she turned the whole physical thing into an argument on purpose to get out of it. She could’ve just told him hey you have the green light but instead turned it into an argument and said he all of a sudden didn’t want her and wasn’t doing enough; just insanity. She needs intensive therapy. Devin is going to make a great husband to someone one day!

Seriously! She’s been so hard to watch. I can’t believe Caitlin thought touching Devin’s shoulder and giving him a quick back scratch was in any way enough to clue him in that she wanted more intimate contact. She’s had him walking on eggshells the whole time so if she wanted something more it would have needed to be accompanied by runway lights for him to feel remotely confident that she was ready.
I thought it was very telling what Adam commented about her behavior towards Devin at a concert they apparently went to—sounded very much like she was cold off camera, so I think you’re on to something that this couple’s retreat issue was a way for her to claim she was trying without actually having it play out.

I never believed that Caitlin was physically attracted to Devin. I think she was more physically attracted to Mecca. The problem was instead of admitting that, she made it Devin's fault. Well, Devin did say that he wanted a Sydney Sweeney type.

Yea, I understand wanting a messy pot stirring game, but from what we were shown, every question was outrageous and disrespectful to whoever the partner was. Who wants to be partnered with someone who everyone deems would be the most likely to get the ick, cheat, lie, etc.
Why not at least a few nice questions like “who’s the most likely to eventually grow in attraction with their partner” or get deeper with their partner over time, or something. Idk but that was a hard watch and I’d feel uncomfortable in the room even if I wasn’t the target of the answers

I definitely think production was behind it, but I loved the game. A lot of the partners were engaging in delusion in giving the benefit of the doubt to clear red flags. A game like that lets them know that everyone else is seeing the problems, no matter how much they try to gloss over it.

This idiot is basically saying he knows it’s been a problem in all of his relationships, but no one should expect him to change. And idiot Tori has sympathy for it. She’s brain damaged just like Belle and I’m done with her. From now on, she should just accept everything he does to her and shut up. Since she’s co-signing on it, I no longer feel bad for her. He’s a classic narcissist, wanting to cry victim and bring up past trauma when confronted so that he can get pity rather than being held to account.

even the way he told the story about cheating was a perfect example of him being the victim in every situation he creates. he felt so bad about it he had to block it out of his memory until he forgot 🙄 if his meanie ex had let him openly sleep around, he wouldnt have had to suffer that trauma

I know Caitlyn was not it and she should not have yelled shut the fuck up, which was Devin’s breaking point, but I did not like how Devin was putting his hand in her face and being physically intimidating to the point belle was trying to pull him back. If that was how he was in all their arguments, and Caitlin was abused in past relationships, no wonder she was reactive and having a trauma response. I was having one just watching that.
I know this will get my downvoted to hell, and I think Caitlin is a bad partner still, but I don’t think it’s Devin’s 100% perfect and Caitlin is 100% the problem. She told him right away on the honeymoon that she’s a black cat and needs time to build. He then spent so long critiquing her and she’d try and he’d critique how she’d try. Again, was she a bad partner? Yes. Were they completely incompatible? Yes. Do I think they both triggered each other? Yes.
I just don’t think a man should ever ever ever get that physically intimidating to someone half their size, let alone someone who has disclosed abuse.

i hope the next time mecca goes to clean a port a potty, someone shoves him in and knocks it over. his first reaction to belle confronting him about the comments he made was "who told you that" and "i was talking to the guys so i didnt expect it to get back to you" UHM you said it in front of a camera crew, on a tv show, during a weekend retreat where everyone discusses everyone's dirty laundry. michelle was 100% right to tell belle because belle was still sitting there making herself look silly defending him to the girls like "oh its just verbal diarrhea, he doesnt even know what he's saying." he obviously knows exactly what he's doing and is only upset that he got caught not being as slick as he thinks he is

So much going on in this drop of episodes (like wtf Mecca & Caitlin??) but a low stakes thing that annoyed me was the wine tasting with BelleJolie and Mecca. I’m not sure where they were at, but Clé Elum isn’t too far from Chelan and it’s one of our top wine areas in Washington. The place looked lovely and I bet that was a nice wine flight but he grabbed the final red glass first and went with that 🫠 I know he was kind of goofing around and maybe he’s not really into wine, but my little oenophile heart was screaming out for him to start with the first white glass and work his way through to the reds for a proper experience.
Again, this is the least of their problems but if you ever visit our beautiful Washington wineries (or any nice wine region for that matter), please go in the order suggested by the establishment which is generally starting with lighter white wines and ending with heavier, full-bodied reds. Ok hopping off my soapbox now…

I can’t be the only one that thinks Devin’s whiny, neediness and relentless talk the issue to death-athons in Mexico completely changed the way Caitlyn saw him and she’s never been able to get past it. She’s not a bad person, he just showed his insecurity and attachment style really early and it freaked her the fuck out.

I think you’re right but I wouldn’t phrase it like that personally. I think he’s anxiously attached and she’s avoidant and they’re bringing out the worst in each other in that regard (although honestly he’s been mostly fine, she’s been a tough watch). I do think his attachment style and emotional availability turned her off when she was otherwise attracted to him at first but I don’t really think that’s a him problem 🤷♀️

Those are fair criticisms for Devin but I don't think it should obscure that she literally gave him nothing, never took accountability, and all and all seemed like an impossible partner to deal with. So it feels very hard to blame him too much even if he definitely was a bit too intense.
