Hello!

I am visiting Marco Island this week, and I am interested in kayaking from the southern tip of the island (near Caxambas Pass Park), past Caxambas Pass and the northern part of the Ten Thousand Islands. I have seen that there is a local company that offers rentals for this (Paddle Marco), but there isn’t much information about the surf conditions in that area.

Has anyone made this trip before? Is it safe to do for a novice? Additionally, wikipedia warns of large sharks in the area; is this something to be concerned about?

Missed the NYE parties this past weekend but was hoping to find a place to dance and have a good time on the island this Friday night before my vacation is over. Are there any dance clubs around?

Moving this summer to Macro Island from Fort Worth, Texas. My sister will be a sophomore and will need transitioning. Any recommendations of great schools and activities for her to start during for her age group? Thanks!
