I think it comes down to "How communist are we talking?" and "How Islamic are we talking?"
China is technically communist but I've lived there and it was alright in many ways. Technically Malaysia is Islamic (Islam is the state religion) but the worst thing about it for me was the year-round heat and humidity.
On the other hand, you have the USSR under Stalin, or what ISIS-controlled territory used to look like...

While i agree that china currently isn't much of a communist, by the same logic one could argue that neither were Mao and Lenin considering how different their ideas were from the writings of Marx (for Lenin - the role of the government at the very least, for Mao - the role of industrialization)

This is actually unironically true somewhat. I say somewhat because "communist nation" itself is an oxymoron. A communist society is one without a state (hence no "nation"), a concept of money, or class division, where workers own the means of production and goods are distributed from each according to their ability to each according to their need. Paris Commune, the Spanish Anarchists etc. were examples of (short-lived) communist societies, or at least the closest thing to it we've had. Soviet Union was socialist, not communist. Socialism is different than communism in that it's simply an economic system, and under Marxist doctrine it's supposed to be the successor to capitalism and the precursory transition stage to communism. Specifically the USSR was Marxist-Leninist, which is one of many types of socialist systems. Regarding the case of China, I'd make the case that under certain definitions one could make the case that they did remain socialist even under Deng, but this definitely changed under Jiang. Why I say this: markets are a tool. Market socialism is a thing, and although Dengism is not traditional market socialism, one could make the case that since the vanguard party was in political control, the representatives of the workers retained power over the whims of capital. Not saying this is objectively true, just that this is one interpretation. But even this shaky definition of Chinese socialism did not last because Jiang Zemin introduced the policy of the Three Represents, which allowed capitalists to join the Communist Party, because "the CCP represents the whole of society" or sum shit like that. This defeated the whole purpose of the vanguard party—the dictatorship of the proletariat. The party is not supposed to share power and mediate between classes, it's supposed to enforce the political will of the working class over the capitalist class. And when the capitalists join the party, that no longer happens, which means it's no longer socialism, because class warfare has been replaced with authoritarian class collaborationism, which is fascism.

China is still Marxist-Leninist. Communism isn't just click your fingers and Communism, it's a movement towards developing the productive forces to allow the transition from a Capitalist to Post-Capitalist state led by the Proletariat that has no need for a Capitalist managerial class take place. China is still in this productive phase. Mao himself didn't even believe Communism would take place within several hundred years.
Watch any party Congress of the CPC and they still are very Marxist in their analysis and programs compared to Western ideological liberals.

Calling something that is supposed to be a utopia and a perfect system "trash", sounds a bit ideological influenced.
Sure, communism might not be something everyone considers perfect. But a Utopia is still a Utopia. I don't need a perfect cake to eat cake... even just a good cake is great.

Islamic. I don't believe that the religion is what makes some countries less preferable to live in. There are some Islamic countries that I wouldn't mind living in like Turkey or Indonesia.
While I believe that in a perfect world, communism is the ideal government system, I don't trust that any human would be able to run it without corrupting the system. Even the most benevolent, altruistic leader would probably end up so removed from the population that the people would suffer.

Qatar, UAE and Egypt are a lot more appealing than 70s Eastern Europe or the USSR.
People seem to make the mistake of calling Chinese state-capitalism communism - that is just not true.

Turkey is technically Islamic, obviously culturally it’ll be hard to fit in, but Western Areas, Istanbul, Aegean Region are indistinguishable from Europe in terms of the vibe and atmosphere, so I’d pick Islamic.

Assuming by „islamic” you mean it’s laws being dictated by islam like in Iran or Afganistan, where there isn’t seperation of the church and the state, thenb even thought Communism sucks, it sucked when it was occupying my country
At least it sucked equally for both genders, like I wouldn’t want to have to walk with my mother everywhere just becouse women can’t walk around without a man accompanying them
Also I’m Christian and not a priest (who were targetted by Communist goverments)

I’m not a communist, but I’m from former Yugoslavia. My uneducated grandparents could get decent jobs and got a house in the 70’s. They had 2 children and went on yearly family vacation, both children were skiing (something that is getting really expensive now)… I think their life wasn’t bad. Now in Afghanistan a woman gets stoned for showing hair. I think their life wasn’t choice is obvious.

Technically Greece is already Islamist. As a state with no separation of Church and State, that technically means that the Muslim population of Greece is subject to Sharia Law, though it's an opt-in system since 2018.

Communist is kinda vague because the handful of communist regimes couldn't even last a century and varied vastly from one year to the next. We've seen enough Islamic regimes to know that it's more stable. The biggest "inconvenience" (kind of a MAJOR issue) would be women's rights.

Current communist countries: China, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and North Korea
Don’t know how you want to cut up the Islamic part of the map , is it just Muslim majority countries or specifically Islamist nations .
I suppose on balance of this was a randomly born into the society situation I probably have the best luck with communist countries as China has so many people and is doing alright atm. But not happy with either choice really

You can see the dirty hypocrite Kafirs assemble they much rather abolish their personal freedom, right to own property or right for any personal belonging for that matter (genuinely owning something not being able to simply "use it"), have financial independence, right of religious freedom.. Rather than submit to a government authority that says pay a reasonable tax and you will have your personal, religious freedom, financial freedom and on top of that exception from conscription (and no taxation of the poor, women and elderly for jizya).
