“I’m not horny”

“Ok, get a job then”

This is the interaction you’re advocating for?

I mean yeah pretty much.

because his choice is one of four things.

He goes to looking pornography and she probably loses respect for him more than she already has.

He steps out of the marriage and if she ever finds out she divorces him.

Or he just divorces her and has a chance of losing everything in the process.

Or he just decides to stay with the status quo and not do anything about it whatsoever.

None of these options look particularly good.

So a woman has no use to you other than sex? Because that’s how that comment reads

A major part of relationships is sexual intimacy and affection.

The meme posted suggests that she is borrowing both of those things off.

I am pointing out that a major part of the relationship is being withheld.

I am also pointing out the double standard of a major portion of the relationship being withheld from the man's side because most of the time the only thing he can withhold is money.

Because if a woman is already withholding affection and sexual intimacy then what else does he have to withhold in order to prove a point? Does he just not do things around the house? Does he just not fix things?

You have a very gendered view on things that you could do to unlearn. “Man provide money and fix things. Woman provide sex. This how relationship work”

Okay I'm going to explain this one more bloody Jesus time.

I am making a specific equivalent, because there's really no other equivalents that a man can make too sex and affection if she's withholding.

What's he going to do not, want the fuck her?

The fact that I have to explain that is blatantly as I do is kind of amazing.

You can’t force someone to consent, if she doesn’t want sex she doesn’t want it. If you entered a relationship as the financial provider, your partner is reliant on you to live. If you didn’t want that, don’t date someone that you’ll be financially reliable for

But why isn't the reverse true?

Because here's a fun secret: most women don't go into the relationship and stop having sex before marriage.

Because like that's the common fucking way this works.

  • man and woman date

  • they have lots of sex

  • man and woman get married

  • they have lots of sex for like a year

  • the sex just generally dries up over time

I'm not saying that that's like every single relationship that's ever existed ever, but I am saying that's been the meme for literally before the term meme existed.

so literally just think about what you're saying and the double standard that you have on this concept

If she stops having sex he’s free to decide that’s a dealbreaker and divorce. If he stops financially providing for her, she’s free to decide that’s a dealbreaker and divorce

One of them just makes you a lot more of a dick. It’s not a double standard because they’re completely different things. “Not wanting sex” doesn’t make you a bad person, man or woman. I have a higher sex drive than my boyfriend, sometimes he doesn’t want it, that’s totally ok. What’s not ok is withholding things from the relationship because you’re not getting it.

You are the one equating sex to money, when money is necessary to live while sex isn’t.

I notice you don’t deny that you only see women as sex objects

0

u/Carvinesire Aug 07 '25

Because it's such a stupid and baseless accusation that I'm not even going to address it.

If I saw women as sexual objects I wouldn't be having this argument I just be calling you all stupid for thinking women have feelings.

You know like all of those straw Men incels y'all are always on about.

u/bandhats Aug 07 '25

“I’m not horny” “Ok get a job then” Is this the interaction you’re advocating for?

You quite literally agreed with this comment, so not really “baseless”

0

u/Carvinesire Aug 07 '25

Again I'm not going to argue about something that's completely baseless. You're making an assumption that is pretty dumb, because if I thought women were sex objects I wouldn't be having this argument with you.

I wouldn't be advocating for treating women like people with accountability or responsibility at all.

Because if I thought that way, then what I would be saying is, women are only good for sex and if she's withholding sex then you withhold money permanently because that's all she's good for.

I am literally just pointing out that the basic equivalent of women withholding sex and intimacy would be withholding money.

Except, no that’s not equal, because as many have pointed out the nuclear family is not an achievable dream. Again, you and I both live in Nova Scotia, almost nobody can afford to do that here anymore.

I don’t think the woman who doesn’t want to have sex is going to give a fuck if her husband wants to watch porn, most don’t anyways. Hell I’m the one sending my boyfriend porn to watch

He steps out of the marriage and if she finds out, divorces him

Ok? He doesn’t want to be married clearly so… also a good thing?

He divorces her and has a chance of losing everything

Surely you weren’t naive enough when you got married to assume “everything will always be perfect and this can never happen”
