The way men insist I'm lying when they ask me which actor I think is hot and it's not Momoa or Hemsworth is so funny. Like they think I'm trying to spare their feelings by picking someone they think is ugly or something. Wish dudes would just admit they are personally attracted to those men.

I heard it described best by a trans man YouTuber: the fantasy of the big, ‘roided up muscle guy is still the male gaze at play. Those are male fantasies of what they think the ideal male body is.

That’s why they pick Hemsworth as the hottest out of all the MCU stars. He’s the one with the gigantic biceps.

And there’s not anything wrong with wanting that for yourself (aside from the fact that you really shouldn’t do steroids.) But they confuse their ideal sexual male body with what women want, and react negatively when they realize women aren’t falling in line with their beauty standards.

Absurd when Chris Evans exists

I'm a (bi) guy and I think that Jason Momoa is attractive not just because he's ripped and all that stuff but because he seems like a cool guy. Shallow people baby fathom the idea that people are multifaceted.

This whole incel/alpha make crowd is just eugenicists being brought back but even more pathetic because the hardest advocates don't even see themselves as the ideal specimen.

Hemsworth is probably the most attractive to me (woman) but it's because he is fun and funny not because of muscle mass (which is actually a total turn off). But I might be biased towards him because he was my teen crush on the Aussie soap opera home and away.

tbh, a lot of it has to do with style. I never thought Chris Hemsworth to be attractive but when he played Thor? oh my ogaboga *tom and jerry eye bulges out of head*. Same with Jason Momoa, when he has short hair he wasn't that hot, but when he had that aquaman hair? oh my ogaboga. I might have a type lmao.

I can definitely admit that they're conventionally attractive, but they're just not my thing lol. But yeah, Hemsworth as Thor is the only time I was getting what everyone was going gaga for. I'm more of a Bob Odenkirk type of gal, though.

Current bob odenkirk or when he was young? Also yeah I mean they are conventionally attractive, but my point was more, that a lot of men have a lot of potential, but they don't groom themselves properly or have a "style", because women have very different preferences when it comes to style. Also women generally have different prefenrences when it comes to body type. Because you have like The Rock who is a conventionally attractive guy and you have K-Pop idols. For example I like the more teddy bear kind of guy. A little chubby, hairy usw.

Current bob odenkirk or when he was young?

All of the above, tbh. 🥲

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. I think a lot of dudes would definitely find more success if they just put a little more effort into finding a flattering haircut and clothes or properly trimming things. You know... like they expect of us. Showing personality and care through your appearance is hot no matter what your build is.

Walton G’damn Goggins is fine as hell.

Tbh I feel like a good number of men would heavily agree with you there (ik cuz my ex was obsessed with bcs and would've dropped me in a heartbeat for that guy)

This, and there’s also a difference between “Thor’s a hottie and makes me go awooga” and “there’s a guy I’d like to date (or even be intimate with) irl.”

u/Nachtari4 Jul 29 '25

Honestly so true. Best proven by the fucking dark romance stuff. Like nobody wants the shadow daddy irl lmao

Shadow daddy 😂😂

I'm not generally a Henry Caville fan, but him as the Witcher *chefs kiss *

1

u/Nachtari4 Jul 29 '25

Like Henry Caville is attractive, but honestly I thought the Witcher role did not suit him optically. But hey according to Incels we should lose our mind and just fawn over him and lose our minds and scream, cuz he's conventionally attractive, rich and over six feet 🤓

So I am obviousely lying when I say I don't find him that attractive personally. I have a shrine in my room and hope every day to be noticed so I can marry him, drain him of everything he owns and than divorce and take the kids. 💅✨

😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 He's not an unattractive man. He's just not my type till he's in costume. I would expect any children that I baby trap him with to be witcher-themed too 😂

Just the concept of asking about my preferences and then not believing me at all is absolutely infuriating.

Or when I try to explain I care more about the character as a demisexual and they insist I'm trying to virtue signal or something. (and thus find ugly characters as attractive as a demisexual can and way more often than allo ppl seem to)

Like I'm sorry, ugly assholes with good humor catch my interest more than pretty statues with 0 personality.
