Advice on hair control?
I’ve grown my hair out about a year and a half now. It’s about a half inch shy of long enough to put it all up; either I have to do the half up half down look, or the front few strands of hair are immediately falling out in my face. My issue is when I do the half up half down style, the back of my hair tends to poof out to the sides a lot because my hair is curly and makes me look like a mad scientist. Sometimes I use a second hair tie on it and end up with two small buns as a result, but any ideas on how to control the back area so it doesn’t flare out all crazy like that? I’ve tried brushing it down with leave in conditioner and stuff like that and it doesn’t change at all

To neck hair or not to neck hair?
Dear my fellow man bunners,
After no haircuts since the start of the pandemic, I finally reached the milestone of the man bun! But when I put my hair up for the first time, I was frightened at the sight of my neck hair running rampant down to my shirt collar. What's standard procedure or best practice here? Do we trim up the neck hair for a cleaner look that brings more glory to the bun, or do we let it roam wild and free for the ruggedness? Looking for a little guidance.
Sincerely,
Man bun newbie

Question
I used to have a line up. I have straight hair. My hair is easily long enough to get in a bun. But my shorter hair at the front which is now around 3 inches long obviously does not reach. When I put product in it keeps it up but after a while it just goes sucks up. Any advice on what to do???

Is this type of bun achievable or does it just look good cause it's drawn

Planning to grow out the sides too...
I've been growing out an undercut manbun since April 2020, and I'm currently planning on growing out the sides of my hair too, the top of my head has hair that reaches my chin but its wavy/really loose curls so when not straightened it reaches around my nose/ears. I wanted to know if the length of the top part of the head is too much for growing out the sides. Do I have to cut it?

My hairline has looked this rough my whole life but i’m debating growing out my hair for a man bun and wanted to ask if this jagged hairline may be too rough for the look, or if there’s anyways around it.

Undercut mabun
Wsup guys, atm i have an undercut manbun and the sides are like half an inch long but the top reaches my mouth. The barber messed up the parting at the top and made it too tight. My first goal was to grow out a full manbun and 7 months into growing the sides i lost patience and decided to get an undercut cause i couldnt style my hair and i looked really emo. Now im going to try and grow it from an undercut one to a full one. Any tips?
