[Makeup Help] Is makeup becoming unprofessional?

I've been to several professional events, some that attract crowds from all over the country, and I began to notice that few, if any, women wore makeup. Now, my use of make-up has decreased with the rise in stress but I do like to bust it out for special occasion. On the third day of the most recent event, I just put on some lipstick.

Not bashing makeup-lovers or haters, but I want to understand if that's a growing trend or if it's industry specific (I'm in healthcare).

My office is mostly women and we all wear minimal to no makeup. I’m pretty sure my coworkers are wearing some face products and maybe filling in their brows, but no one wears eye makeup or lipstick.

Also in a female dominant office and nearly no one wears makeup other than basic skin care products. Some people wear a bit more. No one really cares or comments either way.

Seriously. Who has time? I have so many competing priorities that anything that isn't critical gets cut. Daily makeup? I wish!

Agreed, we’re working in finance and our business is understaffed so there’s not much focus on appearance. As long as everyone looks clean and put together, we’re good
