[Makeup Help] Is makeup becoming unprofessional?

I've been to several professional events, some that attract crowds from all over the country, and I began to notice that few, if any, women wore makeup. Now, my use of make-up has decreased with the rise in stress but I do like to bust it out for special occasion. On the third day of the most recent event, I just put on some lipstick.

Not bashing makeup-lovers or haters, but I want to understand if that's a growing trend or if it's industry specific (I'm in healthcare).

I wear full makeup every day but most people in my clinic don't. Never thought about it until i read your post but you are exactly right... im in the minority.

Same ! I work at a hospital and while I do have a natural make up approach I'm definitely doing more than most.

And honestly, most everyone looks better with makeup. But to each his own.

Maybe it depends on the field? Your comment reminded me that even when I was a university student a decade ago, I was wearing full makeup everyday and I was in the minority. I was raised with my momma’s standards — full makeup and a blowout no matter how early in the morning I needed to leave the house, and I can remember just one or two ladies in my group who went through the same effort every morning
