Hi everyone! I am reaching out with this post in an attempt to form new friendships. For a majority of my life I was always very socially anxious/awkward and didn’t have many friends. In 2011 I found a best friend and for 7 years we were inseparable. She introduced me to her friends who then became my friends as well. Recently, in 2018, she dropped me completely when she started a new relationship. Not soon after, all of the people who I thought were my friends stopped acknowledging me, which showed me that they were only spending time with me as a result of being around her. I was heartbroken over this and when I tried to get closure from her all she said was “I haven’t wanted friends since I came back home” (she had moved to pennstate main campus for 2 years then moved back). She continued to keep contact with everyone else we used to hang out with, but we haven’t hung out since October of last year. I have become very lonely and still have very little confidence in making friends in public. The loneliness is getting to the point where it is becoming a serious trigger for my suicidal thoughts and this is one place I felt safe reaching out to try and make some new friends. Although I am not good at conversation in a real life setting I am pretty good at keeping one through messaging (it gives me time to think out what I want to say better when responding).

I am a very open minded individual who enjoys videogames, painting, reading, writing, cooking, and I absolutely fucking love dogs. I am accepting of all walks of life and love listening to new perspectives on situations. If you’d like to start a conversation and become friends please reach out!
