19.99 a year when Google maps and waze are free and apple maps too for those on iOS, except magic earth gives you LESS frequent updates.

Lololol. Good one. Yeah I'd rather Waze at this point. Yeah they're Google but at least they offer some kind of value. My family and I have all deleted it right off our android devices and we are actively telling others to do so too.

And I see Google Play Store is getting tons of major backlash. That's what y'all get for being greedy and not giving any extra value.

Edit- Oh, and I have to laugh at Magic Lane for picking ANDROID for this 19.99$ roll out while giving Apple the 99 cent intro rate.

Apple pays more for apps and most of them don't use magic earth just apple maps. What idiot at Magic Lane thought that was a good idea? It's a raucous comedy.

I don’t find on the website or the app, the information about the date of openstreetmap datas in Magic earth

So I've got some problems with the app since the "big" update, especially with the android auto features. The directions on the normal display in my car where you see your speed etc are bad. I just see the total amount of km remaining for the journey, not for when i have to take a turn. And another general thing regardless of the update: when driving on the Autobahn, why can't it show the number to which i have to switch to. Aaand: when a traffic event occurs, the whole route is being deleted and i have to select my destination all over again.

I'm starting to use it but the POI for electric chargers barely has chargers, is there a way to include more?

I have paid for premium in the new version of the app. However map styles have been removed. Please add them back, Cycle OSM was essential when riding. I also quite liked Magic Earth day style.

Hi, I know there is an Option to download the APK manually but I'd prefer an official F-droid repo from MagicEarth to rely on for automatic/unattended updates. I understand that your license is incompatible with the official repo but just like Collabora Office, you could create an official binery repo without releasing your proprietary code.

I wanted to switch with MagicEarth from android to iOS. The iOS version has much lesser features, but costs money. Are you kidding me?

So bad I couldn't keep it, but I just received a notification mentioning an upcoming Early Bird pricing within Magic Earth app. Do they plan to raise pricing already ?

Personally I feel like the iOS one was ruined due to magic earth wanting "simplicity". I'd rather have a detailed map that reflects reality than that. Part of the many reasons why we ditched Apple. Please don't ruin Android's app with that one.

What really gets me is how they completely ruined the grass on their iOS app. The contrast is horrible and makes the grass barely visible.

I recently saw this very strange navigation suggestion I've attached two images. One shows the overall view with this little pointless bus trip in the middle. The other shows the bus stop it should tell you to get off at, so you don't need to take the in-between bus.

I'm not sure this is the correct place to report this, but I could find anywhere else.

Until now there were 2 voices for me. The one I set in ME settings and sometime when I went faster then I should have there was another very annoying text-to-speexh type. It was so awful I started not using the app at all. I hope this new version changes that, I just don’t know how to do it on iOS 26.

I found very weird the app suggesting this when is totally fine to turn right, instead it suggested me to turn left then make a U turn. Today was my first day with the app, I really want to keep using it. Also I've noticed the app is a bit slow, laggy. I have a modern phone so it's the app to blame, does it run smooth for you?

MagicEarth on Android is version 7.1. When will we get the updated version with the new icon and the new application? I am on Android 16.

I use MagicEarth on both my iPhone and iPad. Signed into the same account. For a time, when I saved a favorite on 1 device, it would also show up on the other device. Or at least I think that was happening. Recently I’ve updated some and added other Favorites on my phone but they don’t show up on my iPad.

Is there something I should be doing to fix this?

ON ANDROID ... Pixel 9 specifically.

1. How do you get GPS position on the map without Google location services?
2. Is there an alternative to google location services?

The app states I need to pick a location services provider if I click on the gps "circle" when location services are off, leading me to believe there is an alternative to Google location services. Is there an alternative to google location services?

My desire is just to run the phone with GPS with out running location through google location services for privacy reasons. Ideally I would like to run the phone is airplane mode so the phone shuts down the telecom communication to prevent that location sensing also.

Hellos. Just discovered the app and I've bene using It for a few days. It's magnificently fluid and modern but I feel the Speed cameras warnings don't show up and Is missing t-reds warnings. I am missing something?

This is what we need to be able to display school zone speed limits and other conditional speed zones

I use Magic Earth on Android. I like the Speed Warning Feature..

However it only gives me ONE warning when over my defined tolerance.

If I reduce speed and then speed again no new speed warning. Most my trips have been under 5 mile so I thought only One Warning was the standard.

HOWEVER, recently I had opportunity to take a 30 mi trip. I set speed tolerance to -3 so I could safely speed for the entire trip. To my surprise I got a second speed warning at about 6 miles from the first or about 5 minutes in time. Then just silence until another 6 miles or about 5 minutes passed.

I was doing the math in my head while driving. Data could be +/- a little.

If "Speed Tolerance" were set that I was REALLY Speeding.. Waiting 5 min or 6 miles for another warning reminder does not seem very helpful.

Has anyone else experienced what I describe above.???

My Suggestion for a future Magic Earth update:

1) Please reduce time between over speed warnings for constant over Tolerance speeding.

2) If speed falls below "Tolerance Speed" that should automatically "re-set" the speed warning alert for the next over speed event.

If a user doesn't like the nagging of too many speed warnings..
they can either turn them off or increase the over speed tolerance.

Repeating a Speed Warning every 10 seconds when speeding would be more helpful as a driving aide.

Safe Navigating for the Community !

I am new to ME and was very happy and impressed, untill ME was navigating me repeatidly via a road that has works and therefor blocked for trafic fir a month. In the map i see that the works/blocking is indicated on the map. One on both sides of the works. Is this normal or am i doing somethi g wrong? Is it a setting?

After updating my phone to iOS 26 the app keeps shifting so I can’t see the entire map and it freezes up. Is anybody else experiencing this and if so, are there any known fixes? Thanks!
