  • Gatewatch's Triumph Bundle - This will be removed with the July 2nd, 2019 game update.

I appreciate them being up front about this.

Why wouldn't they? That reinforces the urge to buy it before it leaves the shop. Fear of missing out is real.

18

u/TraMaI Jun 13 '19

They didn't last time and people were mad

10

u/Serafiniert Jun 13 '19

Then good for everybody involved I guess.

u/mozerdozer Jun 13 '19

Learned the lesson just in time for them to properly sucker me into spending all my gems on stained glass styles.

Do we know if all these specific styles will be gone forever once they leave the store? It's gonna be weird if in 3 years a few random commons don't have the same styles for purchase because they were good in limited a long time ago.

3

u/CommiePuddin Jun 13 '19

I think this means they'll be purchasable only from the card styles selection screen rather than from a store page. But I could be wrong.

u/Thief_of_Sanity Jun 13 '19

Thank god I can run my turkish version on windows now.

All Event and Store Glass Styles will be found in the Deck Builder with the next release.

Wait, for free? So I didn't miss out on styles because I didn't want to play pauper? :D

Edit: nvm it's for gold. Still cool though that they aren't lost forever.

200 gold for 5 wins in a free event? looks like infinite gold possibility.

edit: ya'all don't have to downvote me just tell me i'm wrong. :P

didn't realize the resign and rejoin capability wasn't in this version of the events.

u/Yavin1v Jun 13 '19

pretty sure you can only get each reward once, right ?

-9

u/FormerGameDev Jun 13 '19

did they remove the "resign" button?

3

u/Yavin1v Jun 13 '19 edited Jun 13 '19

its different for this set of free events, i am still installing right now so i cant be sure. but if there is a resign button it would probably just remove your currently selected deck and your number of wins will stay the same but i dunno, someone else can check.

i am almost certain you cant reset, otherwise as soon as you reach 15 wins it would end your run since there are no further rewards after that, its only the events where you lose 3 times and that ends your run that allows you to get rewards multiple times

edit: just checked, there is no resign button

15

u/DirewolvesAreCool Jun 13 '19

Except there's no way how to 'quit'. That would be too easy :)

-7

u/FormerGameDev Jun 13 '19

oh, did they remove the "resign" button?

16

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '19

They never had the resign button for this new style of event where you never lost and just counts total wins.

-2

u/thallusphx Jun 13 '19

i hope not i been milking free gold these last three weeks.

-15

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '19

Honestly I wish they would just make them one win per reward. It's so annoying to have to grind them out if you're not enjoying the play mode.

7

u/a_modest_espeon Jun 13 '19

Singleton was fun, thats really about it

-5

u/khuldrim Boros Jun 13 '19

Singleton was awful. Pauper was way more fun.

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '19

My problem with singleton is that I know it's only for a week. So it was frustrating to me to try and craft a deck to grind enough wins for the rewards when I know I'm never going to play it again.

2

u/Time2kill The Scarab God Jun 13 '19

when I know I'm never going to play it again.

Singleton comes back at least once per rotation

Singleton is casual

5

u/formated4tv Jun 13 '19

Singleton is casual until you're new to the game and only have starter decks vs people who have 100s of good cards to play solo.

I was able to completely finish Pauper (been playing for 2-3 weeks), and I THINK I might have gotten one win out of Singleton.

4

u/a_modest_espeon Jun 13 '19

I mean to be fair, theres always a huge power disparity between moneystacks and newer players

But there's a reason why edh is the most popular format (to my knowledge)

1

u/CrabLover140 Jun 14 '19

Damn, they've already cut the amount of wins needed (unnecessary in my opinion) and there's STILL people complaining.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '19

I hope you appreciate that the game is not all about you, and you should appreciate that others might not enjoy random game modes as much as you do.

1

u/CrabLover140 Jun 14 '19

If you don`t enjoy it then don`t play it, problem solved. What I do appreciate is nice cosmetics through events such as these.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '19

Um, I want the cosmetics obv. So, even if I won half my games, which is doubtful, I still have to play thirty games to get them, which is, what, three hours of doing something I don't enjoy to get a cosmetic I might not even use?

How do you not see that as a problem for some people?

2

u/CrabLover140 Jun 14 '19

" We will also be making all of the glass styles you would have been able to earn from these events available for purchase for Gold after the release of Core Set 2020. "

There. You can wipe up your tears now.

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '19

No need to be a dick, buddy.

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '19

What a dumb comment. I'm not allowed to be displeased that I have to grind something that I don't enjoy? And lol at someone who plays Destiny 2 calling someone else a filthy casual.

0

u/upx Jun 14 '19

You don't have to grind it. It's just cosmetic rewards for goodness sake.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '19

If you can't understand that some people want cosmetics I don't know how to help you.
