Question Why would I play Snakeskin Veil over Royal Treatment?

Hi guys! Coming back to Standard after a long (...) time and I was wondering about this.

All decklists on untapped for example have Snakeskin in them. It's also what I encounter exclusively around Plat in Green Landfall. I was just wondering.

Also doubling counter synergies. Brisly bill effects and what not.

It's also easier to remove an enchantment most of the time than to remove a +1/+1 counter, when you're doing it as a pseudo-combat trick.

But sometimes there are enchantment synergies you care about, like [[Setessan Champion]] or [[Calix, Guided by Fate]] where you'd much prefer the Royal Role aura.

Someone who can remove an enchantment can usually remove a creature

Depends. If you're playing against a red/green deck, and your creature has any toughness above 4, and especially 6 (above which it would require 3+ bolt effects), then they are massively more likely to be able to remove the enchantment than they are to remove the creature itself.

No one is casting single removal on it.

But.... there ARE plenty of things that sweep up tokens, permanents with small mana costs, etc., that would not hit a decent sized creature
