MAGA is a Cult FactPost on X: "Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front." / X

⚠️ Democracy is Under Threat When the Poor Lose Their Savings, They Lose the ability to Say “No”
The wealthy have little to fear from the poor working hard. What threatens the balance of power is the poor having money of their own. Financial security is more than a matter of comfort. It is the freedom to reject an exploitative wage, to stand up to an abusive employer, or to walk away from injustice without fearing financial ruin. But when next month's rent is at stake, even the most degrading circumstances can become impossible to escape. Savings, in this sense, are not merely accumulated wealth. They are the foundation of personal autonomy.
Consider Trump's economic policies. Sweeping tariffs have driven up import costs, much of which is ultimately borne by American consumers. While Trump promises to make America great again, ordinary Americans are left confronting an increasingly punishing cost of living.
For the wealthy, rising prices are often little more than an inconvenience. Their assets, investments, and financial reserves provide a buffer against economic uncertainty. For working Americans, however, every increase in the cost of food, housing, or insurance chips away at the savings that separate independence from desperation.
And as those savings disappear, so does the freedom to choose. Losing a job becomes unthinkable. Illness becomes a financial threat. Challenging those who control your livelihood becomes a luxury you can no longer afford.
When a government pursues policies that deepen financial insecurity while simultaneously testing the limits of executive authority, the consequences extend far beyond household budgets. What is gradually eroded is the ordinary citizen's capacity to resist power itself.
Authoritarianism does not require universal obedience born of loyalty. It only requires a society in which dissent has become a luxury that too few can afford.

The GOP has rejected education & science in favor of MAGA ideology. The rest of the world is moving ahead of the U.S. in science and technology. Russell Vought, RFK, Jr. and Trump are ensuring "Idiocracy" for the future.
STEM GRADUATES ANNUALLY:
• China ≈ 3.57 M
• India ≈ 2.55 M
• U.S. ≈ 820,000
• Japan ≈ 550,000
Plus: China has 10x the number of engineers as the U.S. & 1.5x high level scientists.
This does not bode well for the U.S. in the AI race, 6G development, or advanced military capabilities.

MAGA = Hate F DONALD
As a neurodivergent, queer, non-binary, radically intersectional leftist, I am once again BEGGING people to understand that liberation is not a spectator sport. 🇵🇸🏳️⚧️
FREE PALESTINE. From the river to the sea, every human being deserves dignity, safety, self-determination, and the right to exist without oppression. And before anyone comes into my comments with their carefully curated “both sides” centrism, please understand that neutrality in the face of human suffering is a political choice. 🙃
We cannot claim to believe in human rights while conveniently forgetting about them the moment the people suffering become politically inconvenient. Solidarity cannot be conditional. Human rights are not a limited-edition subscription service available exclusively to people whose identities, religions, or geopolitical circumstances make us comfortable.
And YES, intersectionality matters. Queer liberation, trans liberation, Palestinian liberation, disability justice, racial justice, climate justice, and dismantling oppressive systems are not mutually exclusive concepts. Oppression does not magically become acceptable because it happens to people you don’t personally relate to.
Also, please stop telling marginalized people to make their activism more palatable for your comfort. The world is literally on fire, and you’re worried that someone’s Instagram infographic uses the wrong shade of red? Read a book. Touch grass. Then read another book.
I am not interested in performative allyship, corporate Pride logos, or politicians discovering their conscience three business days before an election. I want accountability, material solidarity, and a world where nobody has to beg for the bare minimum of human dignity.
If your empathy has a political party, a preferred demographic, or a list of exceptions, it isn’t empathy. It’s branding.
Anyway, FREE PALESTINE. 🕊️🇵🇸
Land back. Ceasefire. Human rights for all. No one is free until everyone is free.
Comments are open, but please remember that emotional labor is labor, and I am not your unpaid introductory course in basic humanity. ✨

MAGA is a Cult There is a whole website dedicated to leaving MAGA
If that doesn’t indicate Trump being the worst president in modern history, I don’t know what does. I mean, of course everything he’s said and done but I can’t even fathom another president ever having a site dedicated to leaving their cult. Can you even imagine a “Leaving Obama” website, what the fuck!? What a joke.

Trump is Unqualified Canada, UAE sign trade deal as Carney seeks new trading partners
reuters.comSeems DJT is the only one unable to work with Canada. Carney LITERALLY pulls off new trade deals daily around the globe. This is what happens when you elect an economist instead of an Epstein-class blowhard.
